2. If anyone plans to watch KO tonight
would you post the important points here? I quit getting MSNBC last year after switching to Dish. Don't miss it but I am wondering what John Dean has to say about DT.

3. Saw it. No mention of Al H
I thought that was a conspicuous lack of mention.

8. You mean Al "I'm in charge here at the Whitehous" Haig? No - haven't
from him at all since his short-lived run for President in 1988.

11. He's had an informertial show on cable for a few years.
You pay some bucks and you get interviewed by Haig in a nice studio setting. It's very sad. I thought the guy made a killing on AOL. Hmmm...

17. DT could have been farther to the right of Nixon and might have seen
Nixon as not doing enough to help the far righ wing of the party.

It wouldn't have been so different from Nader blowing in Clinton in the hopes that people would go for something more left wing.

14. Haig
I don't think he's Deep Throat. He seemed to me to be someone concerned with his own self interests, not the greater good of humanity. I think he was an egomanic (i.e. the time he walked into the White House press room after Reagan was shot, declaring he was in charge of the country).

I just don't think he was an honorable enough man to be DT. Like I said in another post, my bet is on Gerald Ford.

22. He's in the Pontiac landfill.
Had a friend that managed it when Jimmy disappeared. Overnight, large quantities of garbage was moved, and machinery was not put away properly. Nothing was dumped, nothing was moved without his approval.

The next morning the news of Hoffa disappearing hit the news. My friend was smart enough to put one and one together and kept his mouth shut for many years. A lot of gangsters were involved in the garbage removal and hazardous waste business, and probably still are.

18. DT may have done it
out of purely selfish reasons, that would certainly be Haig who thought he was going to grab power when Raygun was shot. JMO
