even though I'm not bald. I have a large personality, and people who are uncomfortable with it occasionally touch my head. It feels like, "Now, sit down, little one. I'm in charge, here." It's a power play, to put people in submission. He can get away with it because you're not supposed to touch the king. It's the move of a bully: he knows it can't be returned. It's the ultimate chicken hawk move, since there are laws about chickens actually shitting you.

If Dubya tried that (not that he would, since I haven't got the bald dome that he seems to find so attractive) -- I would reach up and muss his expensively-coiffed lid. He'd probably become very irritable. As you say, it's a power play and nobody is supposed to touch him. (Various commentators have said that his habit of patting or smooching strangers is affectionate -- not true, since people who really are that way like being touched themselves.)

The Secret Service would likely break my arm and slam me against the wall, but it would be worth it just to see Bush's indignation that a mere slip of a girl would disrespect him so.
