a lot of us are EX-posters there. Well actually we may have gotten one or two off before we were tombstoned. We didn't quite fit their mold. ;) Welcome to DU! :hi:
I lasted for about three years but I never did really like the place. However it was good exposure to get a good handle on what their true mindset is, which is pretty scary.
But the day came when they got so outrageous that I just had to open up on them. So I spent about 3 days posting articles and arguments from all over the net concerning the validity of the separation of church and state. They could not refute the arguments so I got the zap.
WE know the reactionary Republicans don't support free speech. We can only hope they'll realise that's not a group they want to be in. Wouldn't bet on it, though.
Generally when someone has sunk to the kind of depths of hatred and delusion that they live in, it takes something truly traumatic and a life altering experience to finally make them question their beliefs and snap out the the funk they've lived in.
But who knows, maybe getting kicked off freakrepublic is traumatic enough for them.
Of course, I'm one of those people who likes it when freepers troll on DU, because I'm always SURE they'll be won over by the intelligence and wit of the posts here.
17. You're right I got pissed at Boxer and Feinstein when they rushed off
to a pro-death penalty rally I got pissed off and called them everything I could. I got flamed and I thought for sure that I would get booted but I'm still here. Much more tolerant
