Why do some people criticize
bloggers or others who are trying to expose Guckert and this administration with facts? I don't get it. If the facts are there, and so far, no bloggers have lied that I know of, what's the problem?

Even more significant, we don't know what the significance of the story is. It's barely begun. We do know that we will never get to the bottom of it if we leave it to the corporate media.

Guckert flat out lied to Wolfie and he accepted it. We all know that Blitzer, although he plays a journalist on TV, would never have investigated whether Guckert was telling the truth. Today a blogger proved that he wasn't.

What else is there to expose? Who knows? Everything or nothing. But one thing is for sure. We will never know if we leave it to the "professionals."

Who'd like to know what's at the bottom of this?

1. I agree this is a big, big story.
I think what's making some people hesitate at this point is the "Look! He's gay!" angle that's getting played up.

It's not an issue of whether he's gay or straight. It's that he's a fake journalist who got unheard-of access to the president, and possibly to classified info, all as part of the GOP propaganda operation.

I hope we can keep our focus, and get at the real roots of this story, for just the reasons you describe. The "professionals" would like nothing better than for the whole story to just disappear!

:)

2. There is another question in all of this....
WHY was he given access. There is always a "why" involved.

3. Hypocrisy at work here
Remember that the right-wing credited THEIR bloggers for uncovering the so called "fake" documents CBS used in their coverage of Bush's National Guard Service.

They didn't have a problem with bloggers then....but now..what a difference!
