What if Clinton had a gay fake reporter feeding him fake questions?
Remember our last real president, Bill Clinton? Remember how they made him out to be the anti-Christ over one stupid lie about an affair? Henry Hyde was so super-hyper-outraged he said 'catch the falling flag' and they impeached the president and shut down the whole fucking government for two years.

How would they have wailed and gnashed their teeth if Clinton had been caught taking phony questions from a man he knew was a fake reporter, and later revealed to be a c.i.a. operative and owner of a gay prostitute service?

Do you think they'd have given good ol' Bill a pass?

Fuck no. And neither should we, the so called opposition party.

1. They would have been screaming bloody murder
We need to keep this in the news as much as possible. I'm going to work on my letter to the editor this evening. Let's get this on all the local editorial pages so it gets more exposure. I have not yet seen one word about it in the two papers I read daily.

3. Your letter to the editor
Are you willing to share your letter? I'd like to follow-up on my end, with a letter, and want to ensure that my facts are right. This story should be out in the mainstream media. Somehow, maybe with enough of us writing letters, it'll make it there?

11. Sure
I'll PM you when I get a draft. I just want to get the basics out there so there is an awareness for people that have not yet heard of what's going on.
And welcome to DU!

2. If it had involved Clinton they would have coverage 24/7 and CNN
would have orchestrated some "Bulldog" music to accompany every segment.

7. probably in their minds
it did seem to be the only agenda, bring down and humiliate and neuter Clinton and assasinate him personally and politically. they spent about 70 million doing it and shut down the government.

but our democratic 'leaders' have no appetite for 'getting' the president, for fear it would make it look like revenge for Clinton, and unseemly.

10. Don't waste your breath replying to him...he's a "moving finger" poster
and having writ, he's moved on.
He appears to be a man of few words from what I've seen.

8. Leave out the "gay" factor for a minute...
After all, we're not the homophobic party.

What if Clinton had been given soft-ball questions from a young female reporter. One who'd actually visited him outside the White House. Then--her fake press credentials & real experience as a call-girl were revealed.

Imagine the frenzy.

9. I want to cry
last nights high over a real juicy scandal that has the teeth to damage this administration devloping on the internet is diminished and replaced with todays realization that the MSM aint gonna touch it.

The ramifications are this: We really are underground and unable to reach the majority of americans who would care about this story or any other that exposes Bush. The same with the story from the AsiaTimes that implicates the US as arming insurgents in Iraq to "nip evil in the bud"

i dont know what im gonna do.

12. Impeachment, protests, massive letter writing
campaigns, preachers screaming against him from the pulpits, Fox talking heads spinning every minor detail of his life into an unimaginable horror.

in other words...essentially exactly what happened to him...except he didn't have a fake reporter feed him questions. I don't think it would have mattered what he did...they wanted him gone and were willing to go to any lengths.

We, on the other hand, haven't yet made ourselves comfortable with that level of evil slimeballery. Even though Bush is giving us actual reasons to do all of the above.

13. Go check out Media Matters

It's amazing to me to watch the moral gymnastics these people are trying to perform as they bend themselves into human pretzels, defending Gannon and also Brit Hume over the social security thing. They are STILL blaming Clinton's penis for everything that ever went wrong in Washington. And you'll be glad to know if Kerry will only release all of his military records, then somehow, the truth about what Brit Hume really meant will be revealed to us all about the FDR quote! WTF?

I've come to believe that if we had video and DNA proof that * had screwed the entire Supreme Court while making a porno with Gannon, that these wingnuts would STILL think it was Clinton's fault.

It's really quite depressing to read these comments posted by the right-wingers. Will we ever win when the mindsets of so many are the same as those posters at MediaMatters?

And there is no doubt in my mind, whatsoever, that Chris Matthews head would have already exploded had this story happened in the Clinton administration. Faux would be doing 24/7 live reports from Gannon's front lawn and interviewing anyone including his next-door-neighbor's cat to get to the "obvious conspiracy" that went on. Instead what do we get? A mainstream media quietly sleeping away. Just move along sheeple, nothing to see here. That's the message. Sigh.
