"There is a very simple principle that goes a long way towards explaining decisions of the Bush administration. If some policy is beneficial to wealth, privilege and power, it should be promoted.

"If some policy is beneficial to the large majority of the population but of no particular concern (or even marginally costly) to wealth, privilege and power, it should be undermined."

Is it not a fact that the poor now will lose those programs which supported their needs in an effort to cut deficit spending caused primarily by tax cuts for the rich ? ...

Has their NOT been a shift of american treasure from the poor to the rich ? ...

Is this not a plutocratical kleptocracy ? ...

I am one who doesnt look to al jazeera for information, hoping to get that same information from 'legitimate' news sources ..... But where are they ? .. Where is the MSM as the country's larders are RAPED by the rich ? ...

I would look at Al-Jazeera if I were you. I do pretty often, it is way beyond anything here. This piece prompted me to join DU just to show everyone.
I think if you hang out waiting for our media to do anything you may wait until you die...sad but true.
