Okay RW news take over official-check out this article today on BLOGGERS
I was going to compile various "news" links I found about Eason Jordan (CNN's chief who resigned due to RW bloggers). Notice anything missing from this entire article?

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/usiraqmediablogs

WASHINGTON (AFP) - First CBS's Dan Rather, then CNN's Eason Jordan, Internet bloggers have come of age as media watchdogs with their part in the downfall of these influential, high-profile media heads.

Jordan, a top CNN executive responsible for the network's coverage in Iraq (news - web sites), resigned Friday following remarks suggesting the US military was deliberately targeting journalists.

The January 27 comments were initially ignored by mainstream reporters, but picked up and trumpeted across the Internet by an army of bloggers.

He resigned after two weeks of ferocious criticism on conservative weblogs such as captainsquartersblog.com, nationalreviewonline.com and easongate.com, a slick site dedicated entirely to the controversy.

In the 'old days' of just a few years ago media criticism would appear in the monthly Columbia Journalism Review or in specialized newspaper columns, said Paul Grabowicz at the University of California at Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.

2. I found several "news" articles on the triumph of RW blogs
I must have missed the Eason Jordan sotry-I remember the original but never figured it would come to anything but apparently it did.

The only bloggers MSN will mention are the RWers.

3. It seems that people with absolutely no credentials now matter.
99% of bloggers on either side of the fence are an absolute joke, but now that people are taking Faux News so seriously the standard of the media has been dumbed down to the level of the opinion of some half dressed fat ass with a computer and way too much time on his hands.

4. "media criticism" - THAT'S what they think this is about?
There is a male HOOKER in the WH press corp posing as a journalist! He is on a first name basis w/ Scott McClellan, he is called on to ask questions by the president himself, he gets a day pass EVERY day to avoid the more rigorous FBI background check for a hard pass, AND he is right in the middle of the RATHER scandal (SOMEONE gave Rather bad documents to discredit a true AWOL story) and the PLAME scandal (SOMEONE leaked the name of a CIA officer to discredit her husband's true story about the 16 words in the SOTU being a lie). Not to mention that he is available to bail out Bush or Scotty with a friendly question whenever they don't like the way things are going in the press room.

And they want to call this a MEDIA CRITICISM story?

It is a SCANDAL and a big one. Nice try, MSM.

6. Who owns easongate.com?
I don't know how to find out, but some of you do.

7. The worst part is, just because its impolite doesn't mean
that its not true.

Of course *I* would never publicly state that the US government targeted journalists during the Iraq war - for fear of being labled a left wing wacko and getting canned.

8. Is it a coincidence that the Eason Jordan story picked up so much speed,
right after the Gannon story took off? If Jordan had made the comments a month ago, why the sudden interest?

11. Same reason that an essay written two+ years ago is getting attention
The Ward Churchill essay that is the talk of RW radio, RW TV, and MSN is over two years old. They picked the perfect "Whacko hippy 'Murka hater" in Churchill and he is playing right to type IMHO.

Good point about how it took 3 weeks for the Jordan thing to be brought up.

Yesterday there was a thread about the Freepers making excuses for Gannon/Guckert/whatever and that is where I first heard about Jordan and the glorious RW bloggers triumph. Now I see it everywhere.

14. I find the Churchill thing to be very interesting.
He had written that essay a few weeks after 9/11, so the thing has been out there for almost 4 years now. You have to wonder what took the O'Reilly's so long to look into this or is it a matter of not having anything to bitch about if your guys run everything at the moment....

16. Exactly
My wife and I both read it and we both had the same opinion on Churchill's essay-mmm some yes some no but mostly poorly written.

Her officemates were howling about this as Rush gave them talking points to which she said,"What did the guy (Churchill) say? I don't see any quotes in any of these news stories. What did he actually say?" They had no response.

17. I was arguing with someone about that.
He was outraged...Outraged! That tax dollars were being used for Churcill to speak at universities. They've twisted around the story to the point that people think he is out lambasting 9/11 victims at lectures, which no one can prove. All they have is an essay that's four years old and that he has already regretted writing portions of...
But he is a loon that apparently loves the attention at the moment. Plus he's a Left loon which makes them drool! :D

12. They don't mention Rep. Schrock(R- Va) who resigned after blog outed his
solicitation for gay sex partners.

He resigned right before the Republican Convention. He was an arch-conservative who promoted an anti-gay agenda, yet the media couldn't find anything newsworthy in that hypocrisy?

15. Rubbish
Goldberg at once dismesses bloggers then tries to say the The National Review Online (NRO) are as cutting edge as bloggers and ignored by the major media THEN tries to cozy Fox News up to both NRO and bloggers all the while perpetuating the "who-is-poor-me" right wing spew about liberal bias.

Rubbish.
