OK, I'm trying to think of just the most egregious of the wingnut scandals in the last few years, specifically those who make a career of scolding others for the same things they do themselves. I'll start - who can add others?

William Bennett - gambling
Rush Limbaugh - drugs
Bill O'Reilly - bizarro sex harassment
Laura Schlessinger - nudie photos, adultery, homewrecking
Whatshisname Ryan - dragging an unwilling wife to BDSM clubs
Guckert/Gannon - BDSM MSM prostitution, leaking classified material

the ones who get caught doing precisely what they preach to others that they shouldn't be doing, like Rushbo with his illegal 'scrips.

excuses her and sets her as judge and jury in every other woman's life. I hate this f*cking hypocrites.

...she is so vociferous when it comes to abortions.

She uses very graphic language to describe the procedure. She also couches the decision as, "Women who decided to murder their children by having them sucked down a sink." She uses loads of language like that.

She's also a major advocate for stay-at-home moms. I find that interesting, since she is privileged enough to have a millionaires' salary working 20 hours per week on the radio. Sorry, Dr. L--not everyone is a celebrity radio-talk-show host. Some of us have to work real jobs. I'm a stay-at-home mom and I'm embarrassed that she portends to speak for me---when I find her offensive, unrealistic and a hypocrite.

but there's quite a few recent scandals that aren't in there, either. I just think a comprehensive list of all the high-profile conservative scolds caught with their pants down or their hands in the cookie jar, just in recent years, would be kind of impressive. The one guy in your thread did quite a job compiling the list of Republican pedophiles, that's for sure.

someone did a poster with all the convictions of people associated with the regime. it was 16" x24", fine print. i was thinking about that the other day. i'd like to make one just for myself.

He and his wife went to a club. He asked her to have sex in front of other couples. She said no. End of story, even assuming that much is true.

Hard to get scandalized about a guy wanting to have sex with his own wife, even in front of willing observers.

Plus, Ryan was never one of those sheet sniffing moralist types. His private life should have remained private.

life, well, private. I think that is the same argument the freepers are using about Gannon, i.e., his internet prostitution activities were private. :crazy:

Ryan went to a club, with his wife, where the expectation is that you don't talk out of school. Whether the people showing up can be trusted is a different matter. Although I would add that it was his wife that told.

Gannon advertised to the public.

and the whole lot of them for just general ignorance and insensitivity.

As for perverts, then there was the GOP guy (in the Chicago area maybe?) who is doing time for having sex with two underage (VERY underage) girls with the permission of their mother.

Damn, there was a whole string of GOP perv threads for awhile -- mostly sex with underage kids.
