How are you? I hope it's OK to call you by your first name. I think we pretty much dispensed with the formalities the last time we . . . err . . . chatted.

Boy, did we get off on the wrong foot Jan. 25 when I was your guest on "The O'Reilly Factor." There we were, on national TV, you calling me a "fraud," me labeling you a "Bush clone."

What a hoot.

Oops, there I go, digressing. I really just wanted to touch base. As I recall, you mentioned something about dinner at Tony's. Remember? I accused you of calling people derogatory names. You haughtily declared, "Never!" You said you'd check your tapes and buy dinner if my accusations proved truthful.

The next day, you admitted I was right on your radio and cable show. That was quite big of you, I might add.

It's been nearly three weeks and I haven't heard from you or your people. I'm not totally surprised. I heard your "Radio Factor" broadcast Jan. 26 and it sounded sort of like you were "spinning" your way out of the wager.

Besides being an intergalactic vaporbrain, it would appear that Mr. O'Reilly can add another credential to his resume: Welches on bets.

I saw that in the paper earlier today. Slyvester Brown, the author of that piece, is one of my best friends. He has been having a lot of fun lately at O'Reilly's expense.

It has been amazing how people all over the country have started to recognize him.

His original appearance on O'Reilly was the first nationally televised TV appearance for Sylvester ever. He was very nervous, but did well I think. Have you seen the original interview where he calls O'Reilly a Bush clone and asks him how he can look at himself in the mirror in the morning? It is beautiful.
