Has any MSM really covered the Gannon Story?

I haven't seen one, but I didn't get home until the afternoon today.

Is there anything schedule for tonite?

had a bit on his show the other night. But I haven't seen much MSM coverage.

that was before he was found to be a prostitute asking the President of the United States a question in a Presidential Press Briefing!

At that point, he just bought some pornographic sites!

Last night there were 353 stories with "Jeff Gannon".

As of right now, there are 375, and nothing I'd call MSM.

If this had happened in the Clinton White House, the media outlets and pundits wouldn't waste any time to use this story to insult and ridicule the WH for giving someone like 'Gannon' credentials and then favoring and promoting his access. But then again, the Republicans would be raising such a stink about it that the media would be forced to cover the story. No such luck with our (mostly) spineless Democratics.

it is FRAUD, and it is their duty to state so, but they must be part of it to cover it up.

They'll deal with it by ignoring it until it goes away. But I notice the "Syria is evil" message is getting through loud and clear.

Two Democrats in Congress are pressing for investigations into how a Washington reporter who used a pseudonym managed to gain access to the White House and had access to classified documents that named Valerie Plame as a C.I.A. operative.

The Democrats, Representatives John Conyers Jr. of Michigan and Louise M. Slaughter from Rochester, wrote yesterday to Patrick Fitzgerald, the independent prosecutor appointed in the Plame case, seeking an investigation into how the reporter, James D. Guckert, who used the name Jeff Gannon, had access to classified documents that revealed the identity of Ms. Plame.

Until Wednesday when he resigned, Mr. Guckert worked for TalonNews.com, a Web site operated by Robert Eberle, a Texas Republican. Mr. Guckert said in a March 2004 interview with his own news service, in which he was referred to as Mr. Gannon, that the classified document had been "easily accessible." The two Democrats questioned how a person with "dubious qualifications" had access to such a document. The Democrats also wrote to the Secret Service seeking an explanation of how someone using a pseudonym was cleared to enter the White House daily press briefings as well as a presidential news conference last month. They said in their letter that allowing such a person in "appears to deviate significantly from heightened security measures you have employed recently."

Mr. Guckert resigned from Talon saying he had been harassed by liberals on the Internet. Bloggers grew suspicious of him after President Bush called on him at the news conference and the reporter suggested that Democrats had "divorced themselves from reality." Spearheaded by a Web site called Media Matters For America, the bloggers discredited him.

...Hillary & Reid "on TV" talking about this every night, over & over & over...- otherwise, the media can and WILL easily ignore the story.

Ohhh- two Congressman whats-their-names "wrote a letter"- wow- I'll bet Bush/media is shaking in their boots over that one!

Mark my words- this story will be dead & buried in just a few days- just like every other Bush/media scandal that DEMS refused to get aggressive about...

Again, expecting the media to "Uncover itself" is silly.

The only way to get this story out is for top DEMS to go on TV and raise hell about it- of course, they will refuse/chicken out- just like they do with all of Bush's scandals.

OR they are scared that the the GOP/media will "hit them back"...

At least thats what I was told by the DNC big-wigs and State Party people whenever I suggested that DEMS aggressively tell the truth about Bush/media.

We cant exect the media to run stories on how corrupt it is- but we *Should* expect our house-hold name DEMS to be "raising questions" about this on TV every night-just like the GOP/media did when Clinton was prez.

but then I remembered this was NOT 1998.

The difference is that top named Republicans were not afraid to go on TV everynight in 1998 and "raise questions" about Clinton.
Republicans were smart & brave enough to go on interview/debate shows and keep the story alive- our DEMS are afraid to do the same for some reason.

Where is Dean, Kerry, Obama & Hillary on this????????
