How are the Gannon/Eason Jordan stories remotely comparable?
When I go over to the website of one of our wicked stepsisters, I see a lot of pissing and moaning that the Gannon story is getting major coverage (barf: no, it's not) and that the media won't report on the Eason Jordan situation.

Where are they drawing the least bit of comparison? One is a quote by someone who 1) retracted it almost instantly, and 2) is now out of a job. The other is part of a broad pattern of lies, secrecy, deception, possible criminal wrongdoing, and maybe blackmail, as well as a story where long-time respected journalists are being frozen out in press conferences.

Call me stupid, but the only possible link I see is that both are somehow in the large world of the media.

though prurient and muy intersante, its tough to believe anything they publish.... especially from the lips of Wes fuckin' Pruden.

as far as Jordan goes, that one cracks me up. According to Jonah Goldberg, us cray-zee liberals were going nuts about Gannon "until the Jordan story broke" or somesuch.

boy, can you even dig up more than 2 threads about him on DU?

nobody considers CNN liberal, nobody particularly cares about the career of Mr. Jordan. they'll find another asshole to replace him and help shovel the likes of Bill Schneider onto our teevees.

but the RW seems to think he was one of ours or something. whatever.
