As a decendent of one of the 12 tribes, I tell my fundie friends, "sorry, can't make your Armageddon this week, can you schedule it sometime next fall?"

leading us into the end times, praise the lord.

Bush is fulfilling the prophecy of end times and all those trying to stop him from ending the world are delusional. There are more of us willing to follow Bush into the end times then there are those who refuse to believe. Praise the Lord and Bush.

You think enough of those calls would get Chaffee and Snowe to switch parties?

6. Nope!
The whole "Jesus descended from David" is bunk. The genealogy in the New Testament indicates that JOSEPH was from the house of David. But, JOSEPH IS NOT JESUS' FATHER. He's, for lack of a better term, a stepfather. So, even Jesus wasn't really from the house of David.

But, that would require end-times nutjobs to be able to grasp things logically. Their own book contradicts this belief, but they fail to see it.

I loved the babbling about the world being destroyed by fire. Wow, imagine walking around that brain for a few hours... she probably sees demons everywhere.

You take that stuff seriously?

The whole "we're living in the end times" thing strikes me as people wanting to be special, to be part of some crucial moment, to have adventure and doom in their miserable joyless lives. I guess if you don't have much to live for but the 700 club, multiple-headed beasts and burning fire have a certain appeal.

It's a bunch of people who have no clue what means what is what it is.

If Russia is the land of Gog and Magog, then what in the world is she talking about us fighting against "Magog" in Iraq.

We are in Iraq because of "oil" period, the peak oil issue and the fact that Saddam Hussein switched his oil over to euros, we didn't like that, so we switched it back after we toppled him.

That's why we went to Iraq.

The stupid people calling in to these shows acting like Bush is on a mission for God ticks me off!

The "fallout" from what we are doing may be setting the wheels of prophecy into motion, just like the "fallout" from global warming, the "fallout" from the formation and rise of the European Union, etc, etc, etc.

That doesn't mean that it's a "good thing."

Ooooh, let's just give a crook like George W. Bush a pass because he's a descendent of King David. Only a stupid person would fail to realize that it doesn't mean didlysquat.

41. Because I am informed, fair, and impartial
She was "overlooking the obvious" correlations between Bush's "ancestry" and the antichrist's "ancestry," and she was doing so because of her "blind affection" for Bush, which prevents her from seeing the obvious ignorance in the belief that she has the Bush is on "God's side."

She appears to have no clue about Bush and Moon, Bush and the bin Ladens, Bush and the Saudis, Bush and big oil, Bush and Skull and Bones (occult), Bush and etc, etc, etc.

The bible that "she supposedly goes by says that you shall know a tree by the fruit that it bears.

Bush bears "bad fruit after bad fruit," and she either doesn't know it or overlooks it because she wants to believe that Bush is so great.

She's not a fair judge, I am because I'm not anyone's friend.

That's why my "interpretation" is more valid than hers, because I "know" about Bush and she just "believes."

27. Interesting history about the British Royal family's lineage from Abraham.
Edited on Thu Feb-17-05 10:13 AM by mordarlar
Jeremiah 33:17: >>>“For thus says the Lord; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel.” <<<

Abraham was promised two important things by God. That his progeny would number more than the stars in the sky and they would inherit a promised land.(birthright). The second is a blessing on these descendants.

>>>“Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get you out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your father’s house, unto a land that I will show you: and I will make of you a great nation…I will bless you, and make your name great” (Gen. 12:1-2).<<<

This promise is offered as one great promise. Later in the line after Abraham it becomes more defined. in Genesis 49:10 Abraham's grandson Jacob, who's name was changed to Israel, passes to one of his sons, Judah, The "scepter". This is the blessing part of the original promise to Abraham. Judah's descendant, David, was promised as shown above, that his line will always sit on the throne of Israel. This happened through a female descendant of his as explained by the following.

Jesus has not yet inherited the throne (scepter) promised to Abraham. Before King David, the younger of the twin sons of Judah, Zarah, had settled in the British Isles.

The firstborn twin, Pharez, was the line that led to David. Almost 600 yrs before the birth of Jesus, Jerusalem was attacked. All the potential male heirs were killed. Several of the royal females in this line escaped into Egypt. Shortly after this an Irish prince (Zarah line) married one of the survivors of the Pharez line (the line of King David, which was promised an eternal throne)Apparently ancient Irish history tells of this group returning to Britain led by a prophet (Jeremiah).

In Ireland there is a tomb naming Ollamh Fodhla. In both Hebrew and Irish, Ollamh Fodhla means the Possessor or Revealer of hidden-knowledge. This is commonly believed to the the tomb of Jeremiah. ,

Ancient Irish text, from about the yr 569 B.C, mentions a white-haired patriarch arrived in Ireland with his assistant named “Simon Brach,” accompanied by a Hebrew princess named Tea Tephi. Ancient texts from Ireland also say Ollam Folla (Hebrew: prophet), was accompanied by his scribe called Bruch (Baruch the son of Neriah, a secretary of Jeremiah, is mentioned in both Jeremiah 43:3 and 6)). It is recorded that they brought a stone called Liafail (meaning the stone of destiny). The London Sun in 1837 speaks of the stone in an article about Queen Victoria's coronation. The reference is to a compartment below the seat of the throne.

>>>“Between the seat and this board is enclosed a stone, commonly called Jacob’s, or the fatal marble stone…of a steel color, mixed with some veins of red. History relates that it is the stone whereon the patriarch Jacob laid his head in the plains of Luz.”<<<

Jesus was descendant of Judah, Joseph's older brother. With Jacob the promise to Abraham was split. Jacob's name was changed to Israel in Genesis 35:10. He carried both promises. The "land of Israel" and the father of the coming Messiah(scepter). In Genesis 35:11 he promised Israel/Jacob ...

>>>11And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;<<<
This deal with the "Land of Israel"

Judah became the father of the line that led to Christ through both his step father AND his mother. Mary was also a descendant of David through his son Nathan.

Joseph inherited the birthright promised Abraham and his descendants. Israel/Jacob said about Joseph's sons...

Genesis 48 >>>16The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.<<<

This ties into the "land of Israel". This was passed to Joseph's children by Jacob himself. To the older son of Joseph, Manasseh, was given the promise of a great nation. His younger brother, Ephraim, was given the promise of a multitude of nations.

>>>Genesis 48: 19And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.<<<

Israel/Jacob said to his son Judah in Genesis 49:10

>>>10The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.<<<

(shiloh means: “the Messiah, Prince of Peace, or the one seed of Abraham.”)

He followed this with this bit about Joseph...

>>>26The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.<<<

Interesting note... the tribes descending from Israel/Jacob had emblems used to differentiate themselves. Manasseh's (Joseph's oldest son) was an olive branch and a cache of arrows. The younger son's (Ephraim)was a unicorn and Judah's was a lion.

54. *Nobody* is known to be descended from King David
There are no traceable genealogies that go back to figures of the Bible. There aren't even any that go back to the Roman Empire. The longest European genealogies go no further than some of the barbarian leaders who overthrew the empire. And there are plenty of people in the Middle East -- and some in Europe -- who can trace their ancestry back to the family of Mohammed in the 6th century. But that's it.

So all of this is total bullshit.

Will Jews begin proclaiming "Long live the king" in the near future?

According to a group of 71 Jewish scholars who met this week in the Old City of Jerusalem in the form of a modern-day Sanhedrin - a duplicate of the religious tribunal which convened during the time of the Second Temple - a coronation day is growing closer.

As one member of the group put it, "We would have liked it to happen yesterday. But we are willing to wait until tomorrow."

25. So Bush is related to an adulterer who abused his power to have his
lover killed?

Wow, now that's something to be proud of. :eyes:

Look up the story of Bathsheba in the Bible and you'll know what I mean.

Here's a news parody I wrote during the Clinton/Lewensky scandal using that story to point out the hypocrisy of the religious right:

KING DAVID ADMITS TO ADULTERY, MURDER OF SERVANT

By Dwayne Eutsey

Staff Scribe

Jerusalem--In a stunning admission of guilt last night King David acknowledged that he had an "inappropriate relationship" with Bathsheba, the wife of his loyal servant Uriah the Hittite, which resulted not only in her pregnancy but in the betrayal and murder of Uriah as he fought in the Royal Army during the Ammonite War.

David made the confession after it was clear that his confidant Nathan T. Prophet, who had been subpoenaed by independent counsel H.A. Seytan, would cooperate with the investigation into the affair. It is rumored that Prophet has received inside information from a source in "high places" about David's involvement in the scandal.

"Have mercy on me, O God," a contrite David said in his speech. "Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin." While some believe the sincerity of his plea, many question whether David's confession is just another "song and dance" he has written for inclusion in his growing collection of Psalms. Temple insiders admit that because of the "immoral" nature of David's actions, they are now debating whether his Book of Psalms can even be included in the sacred canon.

Independent Counsel Seytan, rebounding from his failed probe into Job's faith claims, said in a statement today that he feels vindicated by the recent turn of events. Because he is still completing his report into the Bathsheba affair, Seytan declined further comment. He did say before disappearing in a puff of smoke that he intends to "get to the bottom" of the enigmatic claim made by the King last night when he also admitted that he "was born guilty, a sinner when my mother conceived me." "If the King's been guilty for that long," Seytan said, "I wonder what else he's trying to hide."

Although Seytan's report will not be released for another few weeks, pundits speculate that it may force the King to resign. Legal experts say the Bathsheba affair, with its adultery, murder, and coveting, violates at least three of the Ten Commandments. Political foes of David, who have questioned his kingship since his involvement in the mysterious death of Goliath T. Giant, argue that the King has never been fit for office. "I've seen the Messiah," one senior prophet said on background. "The Messiah is a vision of mine, and believe me, King David is no Messiah."

Perhaps recent developments are causing cause some of the nuttier "Christians" to take a new look at same-sex relationships. That wasn't the Magdalene at the Last Supper--it was the beloved apostle John.

38. Wonder if David Icke is right when he says
that the Italian Piso family actually wrote the New Testament - and that Bush is a descendant of the Piso Family?

http://www.davidicke.com/icke/articles/bushblood.html

From the Merovingians, this bloodline's connections to the present day include: Charlemagne (742-814), who ruled as Emperor of the West in the Holy Roman Empire; a stream of French kings, including Robert II, Philip Ist, II and III, and Louis Ist, II, VI, VII, VIII, VIIII, XIII, IX, XV, and XVI. The latter married Marie Antoinette of this same bloodline and both were executed in the French Revolution. But they produced the son who became Daniel Payseur, who, as The Biggest Secret explains, was taken to the United States where he became the secret force behind the Morgan and Carnegie empires and owned vast amounts of real estate, banking, and industrial holdings.

This bloodline also connects to the de Medici family which supported Christopher Columbus and produced Catherine de Medici, the Queen of France who died in 1589. Her doctor was Nostradamus: It includes Rene d'Anjou, Duke of Lorraine, and the House of Lorraine which employed Nostradamus and Christopher Columbus. The bloodline relatives of the de Medicis and the House of Lorraine, Queen Isabella of Castile and King Ferdinand of Spain, were also sponsors of Columbus when he "discovered" the Americas.

This bloodline also includes the Habsburgs, the most powerful family in Europe under the Holy Roman Empire; Geoffrey Plantagenet and the Plantagenet royal dynasty in England; King John, who signed the Magna Carta; King Henry Ist, II, and III, who were extremely close to the Knights Templar, as was King John; Mary Stuart and the Stuart Dynasty, including King James Ist of England, sponsor of the King James version of the Bible; King George Ist, II, and III; Edward Ist, II, and III, Queen Victoria; Edward VII; George V and VI; Queen Elizabeth II; Prince Charles and Elizabeth's other offspring, Anne, Andrew and Edward; Princes William and Harry from Charles' "marriage" to Princess Diana; US Presidents, George Washington, John Adams, John Quincy Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and George Bush are all named in the charts as strands of this bloodline; it was passed on to the year 2000 US presidential favorite, George W. Bush Jr., and his brother, Jeb Bush, the Governor of Florida.

In fact if you go deeply enough into the genealogical research you will find that ALL the presidents are from this line. Genealogical sources, like the New England Historical Genealogical Society and Burkes Peerage, have shown that 33 of the 42 presidents to Clinton are related to Charlemagne and 19 are related to England's Edward III, both of whom are of this bloodline. A spokesman for Burkes Peerage, the bible of royal and aristocratic genealogy based in London, has said that every presidential election since and including George Washington in 1789 has been won by the candidate with the most royal genes. Now we can see how and why. United States presidents are not chosen by ballot, they are chosen by blood!

44. Go back far enough we are all related.
You got it right when you said millions. Three or four thousand years ago almost everyone was an ancestor or cousin.

49. Jeiwsh Ancestory
Jewish ancestory is passed throught he father -- not mother.

Being Jewish (aka a member of the tribe) is passed through the mother, but that's all. Any inheritance, rights, etc. are all passed through the father.

Adoption doesn't count. For religious purposes, a father cannot adopt -- it must be a biological son.

This was true of the kings in the OT, it is true today in tracking the lineage of Levites and Cohain (herditary priests), as well as determining the tribe.

Amongst other reasons, this is one issue that Jews have with Jesus -- he wasn't the scion of David according to their (our) beliefs.

53. Sounds like the fundies are trying to restore British
Israelism. British Israelist were Victorian Evangelicals who believed the British Royal Family were descendents of David. They used this to justify the British empire so it is a very convenient thing to revive. To a certain degree the Divinci Code/Holy Blood Holy Grail authors are also resurrecting this belief.
