The analogy between invading Iraq & privatizing Social Security

I got to thinking how ironic it is that a fundie like Bush, who doesn't give a rat's ass about conserving our own natural resources and environment, is all of a sudden worried about something he alleges will take place 40 years from now in 2045. Give me a break. This is more about jamming his own short-term policies down our throats than it is about saving Social Security. What Social Security needs is to be saved from Bush himself.

Ed Schultz had their spokesman on yesterday and he said there is a problem and the sooner it is solved the less expensive the cost will be. We need to look at this system; it is broke. Even Clinton said it was broke in 1998.

My understanding is that a few "tweaks" would take care of it. (Alternatively, we could repeal Bush's tax giveaway to the wealthiest Americans. That money could cure SS forever.)

Social Security is not broke. Bush is exploiting its anticipated long range fiscal problem to justify siphoning more money to the financial markets, not to help 'save' it for future generations.

I don't understand how anyone can trust Bush to fix any financial problems of this country, since his solution of siphoning billions of dollars to private business interests has created the largest deficits in history with the least accountability for taxpayers' money.

In the short-run.

In the long run, even sheeple wise up and say bugger off to the fearmonger.
