2. First comment off the mark - Bush can't start screening reporters - I
guess KKKarl found some focus group that it played well to and now everyone has the message to drum out.

6. That's too easy to turn back on them.
Reporters have to be legitimate. If not you would have interest groups sending people in to address their agenda. It's a standard they've used for decades. This will only appease someone who doesn't bother to look closer.

8. They changed the poll wording but not the numbers of replies
in the Howard Dean question. Earlier today, the question was "do you want to know more about Howard Dean's call for the NY RNC chairman to resign?". Now it says "Do you want to know more about Howard Dean?" Everyone who answered "yes" to the earlier question will now be down as wanting to hear the Dean scream over and over.

7. White House doesn't screen reporters
it clears reporters. These guys just don't want to take the responsibility for cleaning Jeff/Jim in the press poll.

13. I keep wondering...was mentioned in another thread
Those that were in the White House Press corps, should have been interested in keeping their own on the up and up...why wasn't there an outcry when this happened? They had to have known this Yawhoo was phony as a 3 dollar bill. Why didn't they use that as a story? Why don't they do it now? They have in affect demoted themselves by their silence on the topic. They should be reporting this to save their own prestigious standing as White House reporters, they are now in affect by association tainted.

12. Did I just hear what I think I heard?
Did Rep. Slaughter just say she prefers a "good hard reporter"? LOL I bet she wishes she hadn's said that :) That other guy and Monica Crowley are just plain stupid.
