How long do we let a crazy man stand at the podium?
How long before we cry FOUL? I am so sick of this endless twisting of statements. Iraq "sponsor of terror"....9/11-Iraq-9/11.

And so I did something I thought I would never do. One of my daughter's closed friends is parented by a freeper. I really like this child inspite of her family. She spends all year over here at my house before and after school.

Anyway, I had had enough listening to the speech on radio, got to the boiling point and shouted "That's a Goddamned Lie". I then asked this child if she knew that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, that we went to war based on lies. Her reply,"Yes, but Mr. Bush has united this country like no one else". I guess that true in a sick way. No one else has attempted at uniting by dividing. I am a little disgusted with myself for impressing my beliefs on a 13 year old. But at that moment, I just couldn't take this farce any longer.

By the way, the speech was really lame, and it Did sound like there were only 10's of dozens of people in the audience. Polite applause. No screaming. No amens. No "we love you Mr. Bush's". Maybe that counts for something. I just wish the collective would wake the hell up.

2. It would be great if hecklers could get at Bush like they did to Rumsfeld
today when Rummy was spewing his little bundle of lies....From watching Bush, I think something like that would really throw him, and he would blow up and show the real ugliness of his character...When he has infrequently shown flashes of irritation, he has revealed that he would not be the good-natured, good old boy he pretends to be...The public needs to see him like that...

3. 13 year olds can probably handle the truth....
or at least the truth that Bush is a lying piece of shit. Maybe MIHOP is a little much for them. In either case, it sounds like she heard more reality from you than from her Freeper parents would ever tell her.

5. Certain people
will rationalize anything and everything. We can't stop that. But the tide is turning and lots of people, though patriotic and want to believe their president is doing the right thing, will not vote for him again because of the deficit and terrorism increase.
