That is one of the fundamental principles are nation is built on. TO say CRA 1964 was a bad idea means that supression of all things Republican we we return to power is just super. That is not really our style.

and I went through the entire Civil Rights Movement. I am an African American.

I remember that prior to the Civil Rights Movement, Jews were segregated as well as were blacks. They could not stay at certain hotels and were generally treated with the same disdain as were African Americans when it came to equality of public treatment.

That is why some Jews became a part of the Civil Rights Movement and when blacks demanded their rights, Jews simply moved right in quietly and took their own rights as well.

Jews never really had to fight for their civil rights except for the Cheneys and Goodmans and some of those who marched...but for the most part, they just waited for blacks to push the envelope and then Jews came across the line of segregation with us.

Prior to the 60s, WASP families wouldn't think of allowing their children to marry into Jewish families, but soon after the Movement, it became ok for these interracial-interreligious marriages.

After that, once Jews were accepted by the WASP world and were finally considered "White", they suddenly lost all interest in African Americans and began to blame blacks for being victims.

This has always been the strangest thing to me...Whites will accuse blacks of playing "victims"...yet when Jews talk of the holocaust what else are they claiming except "victimhood?"

Medved is typical of today's Jewish person who has forgotten from where they sprung and with whose help they got there. If the Civil Rights Act doesn't count for blacks then it should no lon ger count for Jew either.

Franken had G. Gordon Liddy on just yesterday. He's got more guests that he's politically opposed to than Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Medved, and Hannity combined.

Medved claimed that some conservative had not complained about the nudity in Schindler's List, as Franken had claimed. Franken insisted that he had, and promised to provide sources. Medved was adamant that the man had not made that complaint, and said that Franken didn't know because he had not interviewed him personally, as Medved had. Franken provided the link proving Medved wrong, and Medved changed the subject.

Medved doesn't come off like a liar. I actually think he's sincere. He's just sincerely stupid.

I really think they're sincere in their belief that the free market will solve almost every problem. It's not a fact-based belief- it's more of a religious conviction. It requires faith in the face of contradictory evidence.
