Jeff Gannon Sings His Love for the President
Ok, I've been working on this for several hours, and it is working great on my main machine, but testing on a second machine indicates the music-to-image synchronization is off. I think I may be trying to do something for which my Flash skills are inadequately developed.

Please view the Flash movie at this link, and tell me if the music and images are matching up correctly. Watch it until you get a good view of Jeff's dick, which is about one minute into it, and then you can hit Back (unless you like the song).

It seemed like a cool idea, but maybe I've bitten off more than I can chew. I'm not using timelines much, but mostly Actionscript and the setInterval function to synchronize. But I'm not sure I'm properly accounting for differences in machines and platforms. I just don't know enough about Flash, I guess.

If anybody has any suggestions on how to make this work, or wants to offer tutorial services, I'd be delighted. Or, if you're a Flash guru and want to take the idea and run with it, just let me know and maybe I can fill you in on where I was going and you can take over (Michelangelo's "Creation of Adam" was going to figure prominently in the later half).

Anyway, it should be obvious where the music and images were supposed to synch in the first minute, so I would appreciate any feedback on how well - or not - it is working. I know even the first minute should have more graphic action to make it work, but I'm not going to spend more time on it until I feel I can make the timing right.

Thanks.

2. Sorry, I can't help with the flash
But it was great as far as it went.

I ended up with Gannon's face filling the frame for the last couple of minutes.

Keep at it. You're on the right track.

3. Yeah, I got the Gannon face on the last few minutes
BUT, the use of Radiohead was extraordinary.

:)

4. Well, about a minute into it is where I stopped
I guess the biggest question is whether the pornographic images of Jeff flashed on the screen in time with the guitar grinds. If the timing was right at that point, then it was probably staying in synch for you.

6. Yes, it did
Thus, my comment, "Good use of Radiohead."
:)

(P.S. I like Radiohead. Duh. I don't think they're common enough that I would know that, otherwise. I think THEY would like it.)

7. Dude. They had that guy sing that at the inauguration
Wasn't it like, Tom Jones or somebody singing "Let the Penis Soar" in the cold Washington air? I could be wrong, as I've been drinking a lot since last November.

Women may not know about shrinkage, but Tom Jones doesn't have to worry about it anyway.
