Propaganda movie to be released in 2006 - "The Battle for Fallujah"
The Battle for Fallujah seems to be in production -- this makes me sad that we are going to be seeing propaganda like this. it is rumored harrison ford will be in this movie. Imdb has it in their database but there is no information.

3. the DESTRUCTION of Fallujah would be more like it... Fallujah == Nanking

Japanese aircraft bombed south Shanghai Station Aug.28,1937.
About 200 people in the waiting room were dead or wounded by the bombing. A crying baby was left alone after the bombing. - Life Oct. 4, 1937

4. They seemed to have learned from "Fahrenheit 911"
Now they think they can crank out a movie and sway public opinion.

They're just forgetting one thing: F911 was fact-checked. If "The Battle for Fallujah" is released, it quickly will come under scrutiny.

5. If Harrison Ford is tied to it
It might not be as bad as you think.

He's pretty left-wing.

6. perhaps Mr. Ford would change his mind...
if he took a trip to Fallujah to see what freeing a city looks like.
:(

7. listen to this crap
Studio: Universal Pictures
Writer/s: Bing and Owen West (screenplay) and Bing West (novel)
Cast:
Harrison Ford Gen. Jim Mattis

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Summary of The Battle for Fallujah
Based on the book by Bing West, an ex-Marine and former assistant secretary of defense for international security affairs who is now a foreign correspondent covering the Iraq war. West will write the script with son Owen, a longtime Marine rifleman who left the service to become a trader at Goldman Sachs but returned to fight in Iraq for a year.
For months author F. J. “Bing” West lived among the Marines who besieged the insurgent stronghold of Fallujah, and interviewed members of the three US Army units that fought in that factious city before the Marines arrived. With access from frontline personnel to senior policymakers and negotiators, West’s astonishing account takes us into strategy discussions between generals, on tense night patrols, and into fighting from rooftop to rooftop to tell the story that hasn’t been told in the press or on the nightly news."

A Battle? "Battle" implies traditional warfare, between two armies. This was an assault on a city full of civilians. Will they show the streets full of childrens bodies being eaten by dogs?

10. instead of M*A*S*H* we get T*B*F*F*
instead of Suicide is Painless - what? - Genocide is Brainless?

From the msnbc article:
>The Michael Moore documentary “Fahrenheit 9/11,” which focused on U.S. conduct of the war in Iraq, was a major box office success, but “True Glory” would mark the first feature drama about the war.<

Wasn't the Jessica Lynch story a drama about the war?

16. So you're
attacking a movie that hasn't even been made yet?

Why not wait until it's actually made and released before jumping to conclusions?

Harrison Ford doesn't have much of a history of making pro-right propaganda movies.

17. well from the looks of it, it doesn't look like it's going to be an
anti-war film. It looks like propaganda, and I don't think it is anything else.

-snip-

"I'd been in Fallujah for a week and all I'd seen was tough military tactics," he tells me. "They are arresting people and putting them in these trucks, blindfolded and tied up. Everywhere I looked all I saw was utter devastation."

He spoke with many families who told him one horror story after another, death after death after death.

"Then today, the military brings in a dozen Humvees and ground troops to basically seal off a small area near a market," he continues. "In the middle of them is a CNN camera crew filming troops throwing candy to kids and these guys in orange vests start cleaning the streets around them."

He laughs while holding up his arms and says, "I'd never seen those guys anywhere in the city before. I don't know where they came from."
