I go around collecting DVDs of TV shows from production companies and Emmy voters, and sending them to the wounded troops at the hospital every month.

Yes...from Evil Hollywood Companies and Individuals. Who are among the most generous people you will find anywhere.

My plaque says:

How sad that their sacrifice is for Bush's folly. Bush has betrayed his sacred trust to these men and women. It will be liberals that make sure these troops get the benefits and care they deserve, now that their lives have been shattered by neocon oil barons.

I had a friend who is an Emmy Voter talking about what to do with all the "for your consideration" DVDs so I thought, I'll bet those guys int he hospital are sick of seeing the same movies and would love to see stuff like "Friends" etc., just dumb comedies and stuff from home.

So I just call and make the rounds every couple of weeks and send some in a "flat rate" envelope, it doesn't really cost that much, very easy! I even made a sheets of labels so the addressing & customs form is really fast to do also.`

Also collect the Sports Illustrateds etc., from my Doctor's office...everyone I ask is happy to give stuff like that up and in fact a lot of it ends up in the trash anyhow.

I pray everyday for these troops to be safe.
I have a son, and I can't imagine knowing he is somewhere far away, hurt in a strange land. A small thing like a TV show could be therapy for their soul

donated to us. We can't even offer them to our fundraising group.

Can you give me contact info for you? We are very apt to be getting some soon since it's award show season.

Right now we (I hate to say this) have to destroy them.I hate to see them wasted like that.
