Ralph Steadman's word's on HST today

For those that don't know Ralph, he was Hunter's artist/sidekick for many of his books and life experiences....I think his art framed Thompson's words and state of mind perfectly.

Check out Fear and Loathing in Los Vegas. You'll find pages of what appears to be spilled ink and assorted doodles....like someone photocopied the original manuscript, warts and all.

1. I disagree with Mr. Steadman on the Mark Twain comparison.
HST was an original.

5. Indeed, the world's a slightly dimmer place without that crazy
bastard entertaining us with his keen insight and unique prose. Guess we can surmise that the Doctor's last act was the ultimate "screw this reality" statement. I never pegged him to ride out his last days in a nursing home....
