Paris Hilton Exposed on Web After Phone Hacked
I don't find this altogether humorous ...I wouldn't want my private phone list made public, neither would my friends on the list...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Racy photos of reality TV star Paris Hilton again spread across the Internet on Tuesday -- this time accompanied by celebrity phone numbers, e-mail addresses and other information hacked from her mobile phone.

The heiress to the Hilton Hotels fortune, who featured in a sexually explicit videotape posted online in 2003, has now had her star-studded contact list, personal notes and topless self-portraits from her Sidekick II "smart phone" splattered all over the Web.

1. Just out of curiosity... How many women take topless photos of themselves
with their cellphone, or any other camera for that matter, to carry around with them?

Who is Paris Hilton, anyway? (I know who she is, but I wonder why I should.)

8. It's probably just a publicity stunt. It really doesn't make much sense.

26. She probably wanted it to get stolen.
More publicity for her. She is a publicity hound, that's all she is. No one heard of her until that tape was downloaded on the internet.

I don't have a cell phone. I would say that this may be one of many reasons NOT to have a cell phone.

23. Or how about
not keep sensitive information on your cel phone!

Cel phones are not bad - but keeping info that could be hacked on them is asking for trouble

20. not really, the real problem is
I could care less, Paris is just another tool of the fascist right-wingers to distract the younger generations from the harsh realities!

Which that Bush will drive us all into a destructive stupor and wipe all non-christians from the planet!

21. Funny
She seems to want everyone to start caring about good natured and moral things when someone hacks her cell phone....but when it isn't about her, the attitude she has is a heartless wench who stopped growing up in her school years.

Atleast this does some good. Cell phone hacking will be a thing of the past now, if other people, the lesser known or 'little' people, had this problem. Since it happened to paris, it'll now be worked on.

22. Keith Olberman just said that the FBI is investigating this.
My question: Is the FBI investigating the hacking or information put out because of the hacking?

24. Paris Hilton is only part of the story...
Edited on Tue Feb-22-05 08:51 PM by Feron
The entire T-mobile network was hacked into last year and the guy was selling people's Social Security numbers and other personal information. The guy who did it was caught ,but it would appear that some people still have access. That is probably the angle the FBI is going after.

This incident should serve as a warning to be careful about what you put on an internet connected device.
