Tony Snow in Cancer Announcement
Fox News Radio host Tony Snow announced yesterday that he has been diagnosed with colon cancer - but doctors caught it in time to save his life.

I find it interesting that the job before he became a shrill for the right wing echo chamber was a speech writer for * senior

We no longer have a free press in this country. It has been infiltrated by the GOP. The most blatant example was Jeff Gannon

1. Be careful where you point that shotgun
The liberal press (i.e. New Yorker, Nation, etc.) is full of former political officials as well. Its far from a perfect situation, but its not a new phenomenon.

when an analyst gives an opinion on a company or stock, they have to disclose if they or their families have any involvement or investment in the company

I just want full disclosure

4. It cuts both ways
There are many people in the "press" that have a bias either way politically. That's why you have the NYT and WSJ. It's been that way since the newspapers were first sold in this country. Both parties certainly try and influence news.

The day I see the government take over the editorial board rooms, is the day I know it's too late. That's not going to happen real soon.

Are you saying the NYT, LAT, Wash Post has been infiltrated by the GOP? I think that would be a surprise to many on the editorial boards for those papers.

Jeff Gannon getting a daily pass into the white house to write for a fluky Internet site, nobody reads, is your best example of no longer having a free press?

5. Yes, I would say that
Speaking purely politically, the GOP controls the entire press. Either directly or indirectly. If their agents aren't running the show, they have worked up their press intimidation machine to such a degree that even "liberal" press outlets tow the GOP line. Journalists are so terrified of being accused of liberal bias, they bend over backwards to appease Republicans. This administration has achieved a level of criminality unseen in our nation's history, and yet this administration hasn't received one consequence. That's the fault of the media. And that completely ignores the corporate domination of the press, which is a different (and far more important/pervasive) problem.
