2. Cheerleaders?
What are they cheering? They look more like a line of classless (and clueless) chorus girls.

4. Right, strippers or hookers
The cheerleaders do look more like strippers or hookers. Bare arms, thighs, and midriffs. What message does that give to the female troops in the audience?
The troops don't look very entertained. They look as though they know they are just the background for a Bush photo op.

15. Cheerleaders? I Thought They Were the White House Press Corps
Let me tell a "sea story". We had the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders on the USS IOWA back in 1986. They ended up spending the night in the Medical Ward and left the next day. One enterprising young Corpsman cut the sheets they used into little squares (they smelled great) and sold them for a $1 a pop. Guy made a small fortune.

But that being said, in today's military with the large amount of females serving...THIS----IS----AN----OUTRAGE!!!!

What will we tell the children?

When I served in the military, WE never had cheerleaders!!!!!

:wtf:

p.s. I also object to the army using "Old Ironsides". That is the nicname of the USS Constitution, a frigate build about 1800 and used to fight the Barbary pirates and in the War of 1812. She is the oldest commissioned ship in the navy, berthed in Charlestown, MA.

6. Looks like the USO is trying hard to meet its mission...
<snip>

The USO mission is to provide morale, welfare and recreation-type services to uniformed military personnel. The original intent of Congress for the USO was to represent the American people by extending a "Touch of Home" to their military members. Thus, although some USO programs/services are similar to those provided by other agencies, the hallmark of the USO has been and will continue to be how, as much as what, services are provided.

10. Was the President there as well?
It seems rather, I don't know, inappropriate, to me for this family values born-again. At least, these particular cheerleaders do. They're raunchy!

17. In the 4th picture down
do my eyes deceive me or is that Jeff Gannon/James Guckert in a wig? OK, maybe not. Anyone on the DU photoshop crew want to tackle that one?

And yes, as others have said, WTF are they cheering? Death and destruction? Torture? Now THAT might fit in with *'s "moral values" but I don't see how half-naked cheerleaders fit in with it. We all know that the whole "moral values" thing was a crock anyway but you'd think they could put on an appearance of publicly upholding those values. I guess they're so cocky they don't think they even need to bother. They are in power and no one dares oppose them so they can do whatever they want.
