1. Amen!
My parents live in the panhandle. They worked so hard over the past two years to beat bush- all for not. How frustrating!

3. Gosh, I guess that everybody in Florida is an MD!
Except for the PhD's, that is.

We KNOW that the state was stolen in 2000. Did it change that much?

4. Leon county is, anyway.
As the majority of Tallahassee jobs have been government ones for generations, the people of Leon county have a special insight into the level of bullshit spewed by the governing party. That said, Bush never won Leon county, and this is a position taken by republicans and Democrats alike.

7. the US is blue
look at the stats on people who voted for Bush. they have NO idea of his positions on most issues and they don't agree with his position on most issues.

But hey, at least gays can't marry.

10. Not in my neighborhood
You wouldn't have thought that if you were living in my neighborhood during this last run up to election day. I had just moved in because my previous home in Palm Bay was trashed by two hurricanes, it was October. There was a * sign on almost every property of this cookie-cutter subdivision. I think my new neighbor even put two more up when he saw the Kerry sticker on the back of my car, one sign on his privacy fence (the part facing the road) as close to my property line as possible. The wierd thing was that before that time, nobody I spoke to liked the current administration except one or two people who seemed to get their "news" from Rush and Slanthead, since that was who they were always quoting. I travel all over Central Florida as an inspector and I have spoken to literally 1,000s of people who couldn't keep their political views out of the conversation. All of it anti-*. So what happened? When I voted I asked if the switch on the back of the optical scan machine was set to spit back misfilled ballots or to eat them and not count the vote. I was physically shown that the machine would spit back and then watched the vote tally number rise by one when I slid in my ballot. Why do I still get the feeling that my vote didn't get counted?
