Tell me the difference between a "private" account and a
"personal" account. Santorum was on Imus a little while ago and Imus started to ask him about social security and "private" accounts and Santorum corrected him and said they weren't "private," they were "personal." What's with these people and using the correct "word du jour?" They must send out coded messages every morning. Do they think we're idiots?

1. One must have "focus grouped" better than the other one
and I'm sure Santorum got a memo about it from karl Rove.

2. I think
private means you really truly own it...you can cash it out at any time and buy/sell whatever you want. The personal account is more like an annuity...limited investment options (broad index and bond funds)...and it can't be cashed out all at once, unless you die and leave it to your children.

3. It's called propagandism. The fascists did a marketing study ...
... in North Carolina at least.
On Feb. 10, Bush visited the Tar Heel State and referred to the proposed changes as "personal accounts." Support for the creation of this type of investment increases to 54 per cent when "personal" is used in the description instead of "private."

"Personal" polls 17% better than "private." This is the core of the GOP ... deception. They don't give a damned about honesty or integrity - it's propaganda and manipulation, pulling out all the stops.

4. What the Repukes Are Proposing . .
is "personal" accounts. If I understand their bullcrap proposals correctly, you will not have a say how your money is being invested.

Please correct me if I am wrong . . . .

5. Yes they do
Think we aer idiots I mean. Daily Howler and Talking Points Memo both dealt with stories about how the Republicans popularized the word Privatization, and once they discovered it had a negative connatation for some, they now claim that privitazation is a slur used by Obstructionist Democrats.

I don't like the word Obstuctionist. I prefer Obstructocon.
