Anybody hear the Jerry Doyle Show?

I thought my RW local radio station had put a non-conservative on the air because I heard Alex Jones and Doyle ranting about the lies of the government. Well, I looked him up....a "Hollywood conservative" who's got 150 stations in about a year...and Ed Schultz has about 80 and AAR about 40!

The character of Michael Garibaldi on Babylon 5 is not far removed from the real Jerry Doyle, as they have high standards, audacity, are outspoken and have a vivid past. Like the character he portrayed on the Emmy Award winning series, Jerry is not one for proceeding in life on the normal track.

Taking a hiatus from acting in 2000, Jerry pursued yet another personal goal. A long time political junkie, he ran for the U.S House of Representatives for California’s 24th District. While the March primary saw him become the Congressional Nominee, the November election came up short. The title of Congressman will have to wait till another day.

Fall Ratings are out, including WBAP, Dallas, where Doyle took his day part from a 1.5 to a 3.6 share with Adults 25-54, taking Persons 35-64 from a 2.7 to a 4.5 share - doubling the audience in Dallas-Ft. Worth. Program Director Bob Shomper says, “Jerry’s a compelling Hollywood conservative who works hard, gets radio, and really understands the business. It doesn’t get any better!”

Doyle lied on his resume (if that's what you use in Hollywood) when he tried out for Babylon 5. Said he was part of the Harlem Ballet Company or something similar to that.

Man, you think for someone who starred in that show he'd recognize government corruption and megalomaniacal presidents when he sees them. That was one of the major plot lines in Babylon 5.

He was a commercial pilot, who had no intention of repaying his government loan for college. He went on to become a Wall Street broker (after passing the exam) for only 1-2 years and then moved to Florida. From there, he went "Hollywood".

Furthermore he lied about his personal life. He was married in the 1970s and doesn't publicly acknowledge that marriage or his son who was born of that marriage (as per anything about him on his web site or anything on the internet). He certainly didn't mention these facts when he ran against Brad Sherman in a bid for Congress several years ago. Good ole republican family values.

And Garabaldi was just a likeable character on Babylon 5. Maybe Doyle's actually a good actor. :eyes:
I never knew that Doyle was married in the 70's. I knew that he was briefly married to Andrea Thompson (also on the show) but...waitaminute...wouldn't that make him twice divorced?
I have to echo your sentiment now: "Good ole republican family values".

...also tried the "Hollywood to Newsdesk -- what the hey, they're both in front of a camera" gambit on CNN.

I liked Garibaldi. Too bad Doyle seems to be a dick in real life...
