This is, by far, in my mind, the funniest picture of Condi yet.

I've got a couple of friends who are big into the BDSM community in DC. Will have to ask if they've seen anyone matching Condi's description down at The Crucible wearing black PVC and having her nipple rings yanked while screaming "Oh, oh Shrubby, my hubby!"

is grooming Condi to run for Pres in 2008. There seems to be a very deliberate track to elevate her status in the administration and in the public eye. Maybe this is their counter to a possible Hillary run for the dems - can you imagine two women as presidential front runners?!

As for the outfit, jackboots are still jackboots even when a woman wears them. Frickin' Nazi cow!

She is a horrible choice and so vulnerable to destruction. Imagine television ads with her saying the August memo was a "historic document" compared to the FAA reports of over 52 warnings of attacks using planes. Not to mention all that will be uncovered before 2008!

She is Secretary of State and this attire is not appropriate. Someone is clearly trying to change Condi's image from that of a stick-up-her-ass dud to a sex symbol. Why? Is it because she can do her job on merit alone?

is not bad looking at all. If you think she is the ugliest woman you've seen in your life, you must not be very observant. I see women on the floor of Congress every day who don't look any better than Rice. Some look far worse. I don't like Ms. Rice's politics but don't find it necessary to attack her looks. During Madeline Albright's term of office,not once did I hear a Democrat or Republican criticize her looks. Is this what women who hold high office must come to expect? Some of the comments here are cruel.

Janet Reno and Madeline Albright were both the butt of many jokes about their looks.

it, I do recall the attacks on Reno but not on Albright. I felt it was very wrong to attack Ms. Reno's looks. When I look around I see that most people are just average looking and some we think are beautiful are only looking that way because of makeup and cosmetic surgery. I think one can criticize a persons politics but their looks should be off limit.

Those boot are very stylish, in fact I just bought a pair similiar to those, but mine were only $400 whereas her's were likely much more.

There is nothing inappropriate about that outfit. Should she dress in JCPenney's off the rack clothes?

I think that she is a fascist; I think that she is not as smart as many would make her out to be; I think that she is a liar; I think that she needs to be prosecuted along with all of the other war criminals in the US government and military. Anyone can take a bad picture. There are other photographs in which she looks much better. Rice is not an ugly woman. It's a shame people can't just stick to criticizing her politics and leave her looks alone. Most Democrats were appalled at the attacks on Hillary and Chelsea's looks yet we now have Democrats who are engaging in the same behavior for which they criticized the Repubs. No one is responsible for how they came into the world. Attacking your opponents policies is acceptable;attacking his looks is not, IMO.

Those of us who are used to traipsing around in the snow day after day, would never ever think of wearing boots like that to get around, practically speaking. She is not practical at all.

Obviously, these boots are not made for walking in climates that have continual snow, like Russia or even Slovakia, but she wants to look sexy for some reason and it is a bad move. These boots she wears are not warm and are not practical at all.

and that is---well she is playing the female game, which is a real slap in the face to female accomplishment.

Reminds me of the time she and Bush flew secretely to Iraq to deliver a plastic turkey on Thanksgiving, dressed as an ordinary "couple" disguised. That is her actual role--as the "couple" to Bush.
