White Rose Society is looking for new small-market radio shows.
Do you know a small-market Liberal/Progressive talk radio show that could use a permanent archive site? If so, please let me know about it or put me in contact with whomever holds the rights to the show.

Thanks!

1. I don't know of any small shows just yet
But a small fyi - did you hear that KGO is archiving their shows now? They keep the shows archived for 24 hours. At least I can listen to some of the deep night owl programming.

3. I do have authorization to archive Bernie Ward, and I will begin shortly.
Their archiving makes it much easier on me as recording six live streams a day is a MAJOR hassle!!!

5. I'm thrilled you can archive Bernie
There will be many times when I can't listen to their archive within 24 hours. Your service is more valuable with each passing month, Ben.

The thing is that we have more choices now, too. And I hate to miss some of the discussions since, for instance, Bernie's debating arguments are among the best. It's almost like going to school to learn how to deal with the right wing arguments.

Thanks for everything.

19. Major props
to WSR. I love to go to their site if for some reason I can't listen to someone and I hear they had a good show and had some good information. Plus on the weekends when there's reruns on shows I can go there. :) So good job. :toast:

4. Ben, great job on what you do. I feel
guilty as I'm not able to contribute at this point, but I hope that changes in the near future.

Here in Ohio the radio sucks big-time. Right to right on the radio dial. If I hear of something, though, I'll let you know.

Thanks again for all your efforts!

Stew

11. I was in contact with him a few weeks back...
The DIRECT URL for AM 760 is http://ccdig.liquidviewer.com/kkzn

Just in case you cannot stand web players, you can plug that right into Windows Media Player.

16. Jay says OK.
I'll start tomorrow, but he still needs to ask his station and they could veto it.

One of the hosts is the wife of Kurt Wagner of Lambchop. Her show is once weekly, and WRVU streams at http://www.wrvu.org/. It's a breath of fresh air in Nashville (a city, by the way, that voted for Kerry ... where's OUR AAR affiliate, fellas?)

Archived show sample: http://wrvu.org/rockwonk.ram

Next live show is Monday morning, 07:00am to 09:00am Central Time. Stream is at http://www.wrvu.org/sounds/wrvu.ram. Host's e-mail is mailto:mary@rockwonk.com

21. Nashville went
to Kerry? Really? :bounce: I was wondering because around the election my mother was in Nashville and she told me she saw this huge sign that said "Bush Country." :\ So I'm happy to hear that about Nashville. :D My area went blue too. Hehe.

8. Christine Craft
"Talk City" Radio, Sacramento, California. 1240am.... The station is an AAR affiliate station but Christine Craft has a locally produced program that is spot-on, progressive, and timely. Problem is that I don't believe the station streams on the internet. Hmmm, Christine answers all e-mails - maybe you could point her in the right direction because her voice would be an excellent addition to your collection.

Edited on Sun Feb-27-05 05:44 PM by Nomadic
The Mike Webb Show airs "live and local" 9pm to 1am Monday through Friday on 710 KIRO.

It is a great radio show from Seattle. I started listening since the highly contested race for Governor in Washington.
