My (Barking at the moon) Social Security letter to Joe Judas Lieberman
He is trying to get a position with the Bushistas so badly he is selling us down the river. My letter:

Dear Senator Lieberman,

I was distressed to read in the Washington Post today that you are one of the few Democrats willing to compromise with the President on Social Security privatization. Democrats finally have an issue to stand together on and stop the radical agenda of this misguided administration. Medicare and the National debt represent a far greater immediate threat to American citizens than Social Security. The President has refused to give us any details on his plan, and before he spells it out I urge you to refrain from compromising on this issue, and when he does I hope you will stand against it. If you support his effort to destroy Social Security (and you are naive not to believe that is their ultimate agenda), I will conclude that your kiss at the State of the Union was a Judas kiss.

Please consider the full ramifications of your actions. You work for the people of CT. and America, and not your personal agenda, whatever that may be.

Please do not forget that. We will not.

Please, if you have a connection to CT speak out and let him know what you think. Link to WP story:

"Some of these centrists, such as Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman (D-Conn.), have been meeting with Republican colleagues to discuss whether there is a middle ground."

The article basically says that privitation is on life support so wtf is Lieberman thinking? Help us remove him.

2. My Letter to Joe
To:
Sen. Joseph Lieberman

February 27, 2005

You have made it very plain that you are not a true Democrat. What proof do I have? Your vote to confirm Gonzales, the kiss from your buddy bush after the SOTU speech, and now the fact that you are considering support for the privatization of SS. No wonder you are known as "Zell-Lite!" If you want to be a Republican so badly, why not just change parties? That would be more honest. Don't count on me to support you in 2006.

5. I think you can kiss the staunch pro-Israelis buh buy for now. Like
I said before ... if the security of your family was at stake, you'd even follow a frog to the moon. I think someone like Liberman doesn't care for anything other than that peace happens permanently in Israel/Palestine this year. Hell - he has to cozy up to whoever is President. He may go home and get fumigated after, but I do not think he has much wiggle room (if he is a good human being and loves his family & all his people). Every day is tinder hooks for the Israelis. I can see Liberman giving up the vote on SS in exchange for some 'favors'. You have to remember what a bunch of opportunists Bush & co are. Karl has done the numbers. They had the black congressional caucus in Bush's office telling them that it was a good deal since black men don't live long, they would have something special for Liberman.

Liberman et all are people under duress at this juncture in time. Let him go. It is a free tent we live under. Getting angry is fine. But threatening him is not good - that is what the freepers would do. If you look at Liberman with compassion - it is not so hard to understand. Democrats & Liberals are not people of the coercion. So you just focus your support of the great Democrats we still have (and who are available for our fight and ignore the Democrats who have their own legitimate fights). And be happy to that Yasser Arafat lost and the mummies of Palestine & Israel seem to have won this latest round.
