Poll question: Should we start making plans to form a new union?
As our federal government self-destructs, I was wondering if we should be at the table drafting plans for a new union. I'm not suggesting civil war, just plans, just in case.

I think we could bring many states on board for a parlaimentarian, social democracy, updated for our new technological and global society. We have to consider the global because high tech communication and modern transportation no longer allow us to ignore it.

My opinion:

I'm almost certain now that it will take a miracle to save the old USA from the corruption that has happened from within. Eventually, we will find ourselves being enslaved to the few with hardly any rights and no real vote to change things. When that happens, then we need to break away. And when that happens we need a plan in place.

So what do you think?

6. I just want to whisper in the ears of those who can
spearhead a movement. I think there is a legal way to get around it, forming a think tank or something like that.

2. Yes, we should. The divisions are too deep to heal and too wide to bridge
The millions who are infatuated with greed and who scorn the demands of community are lost. They are immune to the discipline of reason because they have never been educated in the processes of critical thinking and because the linchpin of their decision-making process is religious superstition. Add to that the nearly complete control of the media by corporatists and theocrats and the main avenue for fomenting change is closed off.

I can see no solution but to separate the lot of them to a political entity in which they can wallow in their contempt of reason and troglodite adherence to their perverted version of "survival of the fittest."

3. I am really concerned about the Talibanization of our society
or the attempts to turn it into a theocracy. Also, the wannabe plutocrats don't give a hoot about the rest of society.

4. Here are some ideas about where the next republic may go
This is a long, difficult read, but worth it if you are interested in the question on this poll:
