You know what I'm afraid of? "Misunderestimate" is starting to look like a
real word! People are using it without attribution, or putting it in verbal quotes now. Josh Marshall just did--I knew something was wrong with the sentence and had to look twice to see what it was. Gack! Don't let Chimpy make this contribution to the English language!!

The real test is whether or not it will stick around after he leaves office, which I doubt.

Care to provide a definition, especially one pre-1999 or whenever the fuckstick* uttered that nonsense?

What he meant to say was "people underestimate him".

23. he's used it at least twice
I believe the definition would be something along the lines of "wrongly underestimate" -- which is actually redundant, but there are plenty of examples of idioms where repetition is used for emphasis.

They misunderestimated me. (Nov. 6, 2000)

The folks who conducted this act on our country on September 11th made a big mistake. They misunderestimated the fact that we love a neighbor in need. They misunderestimated the compassion of our country. I think they misunderestimated the will and determination of the commander-in-chief, too. (Sept. 26, 2001)

12. I'm all for putting this in the dictionary.
After all, this is what happens when people call a guy chimp and he proceeds to reform their government into a poverty and death machine.

Misunderestimation.

13. LOL! As long as the definition makes some reference to a chimp.
And is illustrated with one of those chimp-mouth photos.

18. Just like "normalcy"
Warren G Harding, considered the most stupid president until quite recently, invented the word. He was reading a speech & mispronounced "normality."

But Normalcy keeps popping up.
