How will the draft be institutionalized?
I say a terrorist attack is allowed to happen or actually carried out by the neocons either here or a major one in Iraq and they blame it on Syria and Iran assisting Al Qaeda thus scaring idiots in this country and then they say we must reinstitute the draft or our future is at jeopardy and frightened people in this country go along with it and beat up people like me once I remind them that I predicted the very events that are happening because they dont' want to hear it because they say, "how dare you blame the government when we were attacked," then I stop caring an allow them to suffer and be drafted and see their children die over lies because they obviously wanted it to happen.

So, how do you all think the draft will be institutionalized?

They can't just "start it." It would destroy 2006 and 2008 for the GOP, so they have to have things happen that will make people think it was unavoidable.

How do you think they will do it?

1. Neo-cons will set the Senate ablaze, then
blame it on syria or iran. THAT'S how they'll get the draft to happen.

3. General Zinni predicts: No Draft!
I heard him speak a few nights ago, and someone asked about the draft. He said that the military, as currently structured, cannot absorb draftees because of the training issues and the fact that professional soldiers simply don't want to work with soldiers who don't want to be there. He predicts that there'll be no draft due to the logistics.

It made me feel a lot better, since I think he knows what he's talking about. (And he's NOT a fan of Bush)

5. But the Neo-cons stupidly ignored Zinni before.
I have no doubt that Zinni is intimately well-informed about intelligent military strategy and resource management. However, the folks in charge are not. They ignored Zinni, Shinseki, Schwartzkopf et al. before, I wouldn't be surprised if they go against good advice again.

8. Never turn your back on what they say.
They lie just like bush. They don't want the draft because most of the draftees are smart enough to keep out of the service. Only real poor or dumb people sign up. Draftees do not follow blindly that is why they don't want them. They question.

4. In the most deceptive way possible.
For one, it will NOT be called a "draft".

They are already doing a heavy, duty recruitment ("drafting") via the NCLB Act which withholds federal funding from schools which fail to provide info about students (unless parents specifically indicate their permission is NOT granted). Apparently, drafting is also taking place in churches and via certain social groups/clubs.

My guess is that there will be push for something called "freedom corps" which will actually be a "military corps".

In other words, it'll be done in the most deceptive, manipulative way possibly to trick people into giving up or doing what they otherwise would not.

7. I agree
Bush et al would have a draft on a rider ina bill most people would want. If they want the draft to be removed, they'd threaten to remove the entire bill. SS reform is a good one.

9. They learned a lot about how soldiers who never wanted to go can effect
a war. Some of the guys in Viet Nam had to go but that didn't mean they had to do a good job which lead to very low morale. Plus Training draftees cost much more than training volunteers.

gays & democrats to "register" in a "special" "run-off" "election". And then they will have enough enlisted people and no need for a draft.
