Bono for World Bank (LA Times Ed 2/25)

Pardon me if this has already been posted about, but I think this would be a step in the right direction!

From LA Times editorial (2/25):

"Bono, the U2 rock star, has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, and he is a credible candidate. But we have a better idea on how best to recognize his effective lobbying on behalf of African development — Bono should be named the next president of the World Bank...."

Quite a range of choices for them though - Bono, Christine Whitman, Paul Wolfowitz(gag)...

Of course, he believes in nothing the World Bank was founded to accomplish. Bush would never allow it.
