DoD internship requirements--wtf?

"Who We Are Looking For:

The Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Industrial Policy) will select interns for summer 2005 from among applicants anticipated from about thirty colleges nation-wide. Applicants will be evaluated by class standing, year in school, area of study, demonstrated communications abilities, and skills obtained from work experience. Fields of interest are: business, economics, engineering, law or pre-law, political science, and related fields. Most importantly, we are looking for patriotic, bright, and motivated individuals willing to work hard and learn new things."

So I guess I should take the K/E campaign off my resume or I won't get the job? Sheesh!

The part on the end is just to encourage people to apply, because everyone who would consider applying also considers themselves to be those things.
