should we boycott NetZero?
Edited on Fri Mar-04-05 01:07 AM by oldtime dfl_er
I was watching The Apprentice tonight and there was a NetZero commercial with spokesperson Dennis Miller. Now as far as I am concerned, as soon as he started spewing rightwing venom on his tv show, Miller ceased to be an entertainer or comedian, and became a Republican activist. My household is currently weighing our options for upgrading our internet service, and NetZero just lost my business. I'll be writing them tomorrow to let them know exactly why.

3. Great idea -boycott NetZero...and write them an email
This is the email for "United Online" parent company for NetZero:

investor@untd.com

Here's my email.

Dear United Online:

I'm writing to inform you that your use of Dennis Miller as a spokes person has guaranteed that I will never use your service, ever. Miller is politically polarizing figure who makes offensive remarks about national leaders that I admire. Why on earth would you go after the tech market with a public figure so offensive to many.

Good luck and better choosing next time.

Very truly yours,

The Hon. autorank

4. yes
Never do business with companies that are signaling
support for the opposition.

Make it part of everyday life just adjust your
choices as information becomes available.

Netzero knows that Dennis Miller is a neocon warmongering
puss bag so they should pay for hiring him.

6. Net Zero sucks anyway
It was bad even before they hired Dennis Miller to do those commercials.

9. Well that's the God's honest truth. But I'm still not buying from them.
It does suck. I hate lousy ISPs. They make aol look good. At least with aol I'm supporting a local employer (and friends who work for them).

10.  Dennis Miller has got his lips so firmly planted on Karl Rove's buttock
I don't see how he can come up for air long enough to pitch any product.

That said, Net Zero.....HELL NO.
