King George wants to try the diplomacy thing again
Edited on Fri Mar-04-05 10:02 AM by ChicanoPwr
This time in his home turf, Crawford, Texas YEEEHAWW, for a good ole fashion hoedown. King George wants to dictate to the two leaders how they close off the borders when the draft begins, its a way to "strengthen our continent's common security and enhance our peoples' common prosperity." The White House prefers to use the word discuss to lure them to Crawford.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush will try to ease frictions with U.S. neighbors Canada and Mexico at a three-way summit meeting in Texas on March 23 that includes a coveted invitation to his Crawford ranch.

The White House announced on Thursday Bush would hold working sessions with Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin and Mexican President Vicente Fox at Baylor University in Waco before hosting a lunch for them at his "Prairie Chapel" ranch about 25 miles away.

Martin's abrupt decision last week not to take part in the U.S. missile defense system was seen as a snub to Bush who had called for joint action in a Dec. 1 speech in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Tensions with Mexico developed over Fox's opposition to the Iraq war and have been exacerbated by stalled efforts to ease U.S. immigration rules to benefit Mexican workers.
