Why is shrub still pushing this concept, when it seems the more he speaks about it, the more people seem to be against it? Why wasn't this tough sell made when his approval ratings were in the 70s? Why are they acting like thier politacal life depends on it? fed chairman Greespan recently appeared before congress and stated that the dept buit up by the *administration is insustainable! I think they know that the country is heading for an economic crisis, and they are trying to delay the inevitable until after the next congressional elections. Shrubs ss plan would bring an infusion of capitol into the stock market creating a temporary boost in investment. Of course, in the long run, this would make matters worse by enlarging the debt that would have to be eventually paid off.

Hey, if * keeps harping on it and it tightens the noose around his neck to the point of strangulation, more the better.
