Okay what is the deal with this story?
The freepers are all going nuts over this story. Some are saying it hurts Hillary's chances to run in 2008. Anyone have any info on this? NEW YORK — Billionaire fugitive financer Marc Rich has declared to congressional investigators probing the Oil-for-Food scandal that he had a limited role in the program and knew nothing about Saddam Hussein's bribery schemes.

But Rich, who currently lives in Switzerland, recently confirmed what his own company would not admit to FOX News last year — that he was authorized to buy and sell oil as part of the billion-dollar U.N. program.

He personally replied to written questions submitted to him by the House International Relations Committee through the Swiss Embassy earlier this week.

"Mr. Rich's answers were non-responsive, which is no surprise because we believe he knows more than he wishes to acknowledge," said a spokesman for committee chairman Rep. Henry Hyde), R-Ill.

2. WHAT "oil for food scandal"??? The only person who claims to have proof
Edited on Fri Mar-04-05 10:40 PM by LynnTheDem
of any such scandal is bush's pal, Iranian spy, Iraq-WMD-Liar-Extraordinaire, forger, convicted felon, wanted fugitive Ahmed Chalabi.

And if the freeping rightwingnut morans ever bothered to do more than sit in front of Faux Moos and be 80% misinformed, they'd know about Paul Volkner's recent report investigating the "oil for food scandal" and his conclusion that there WASN'T ANY.

In other words, AS USUAL, the freepers are ignorant morans who still think Iraq did 911, the world supported bush's invasion, Iraq had WMD and we've already found some, and there was an oil-for-food scandal.

Freeping rightwingnuts; stupidest MFers on the planet.

5. If it doesn't hurt bush it doesn't hurt clinton
Well maybe with the fox news crowd. That's the only place where this story gets any run for the reasons lynnthedem points out.
