So who's guilty of polarization?
http://www.pbs.org/newshour/textonly/focus2.html

MARK SHIELDS: I'll tell you how dumb Republicans are. They had a retirement party for Tom Daschle this Thursday night, a man who had been the Democratic leader, had been a very important leader, had reached across the aisle in many cases worked cooperatively and not a single Republican senator even dared to show up.

JIM LEHRER: Were they invited?

MARK SHIELDS: Sure they were invited. The idea of putting your arm around him and saying "Tom Daschle, we disagreed but you're a good guy." That would have been so smart. I mean, that's what David's talking about being polarized.

I really don't want to hear any more accusations against the democrats about polarization. This is a clear example of what the facts really are.

1. Uniter not divider?
This country has never been this divided, except during the civil war.

2. Maybe they are afraid they will get drunk
and reveal who mailed the Anthrax to his office. I have always, and still do, suspect the republican hand in the Anthrax attacks.

Most everything the republicraps do is polarizing. This is their strategy, and it is how they built their base. They will attack anyone, anywhere, and at any time who does not fit their poisonous mold.

3. It do make you wonder don't it? I never understood why *
didn't just blame the anthrax attacks on Iraq rather than going through the WMD charade to excuse his war. In the whole build-up to the War, I never heard a hint of an anthrax-Iraq nexus. Doing that would have been so convenient for BushCo it makes one suspicious that they know something we don't. On the other hand, it seems way too coincidental that the first person who died of anthrax lived so close to where Atta rented airplanes. Plus Bin-Laden said something to the effect that the anthrax attacks were "Allah answering the prayers of mothers in Palestine..." I wonder if Bin-Laden would credit an infidel with doing Allah's work? Sure would be nice to know the truth.

5. If they had blamed Iraq
for the anthrax, that would have clearly indicated that Iraq disliked democrats, not repubs, as only democratic senators received anthrax.

9. Only if you think the attacks were on the person rather than the
position they held. Then, of course, there are the media attacks to factor in.

11. There would have been an investigation if the rabid weasel

blamed Iraq. Evidently, they do not want an investigation for some reason. I believe that the lack of any worthwhile action is the most damning evidence of all. The republicraps simply do not want anyone to investigate themselves.

4. assholes
the polarizers are the ones who openly called us traitors and terrorists during their mad dash to war. I distinctly remember being called an 'osama-loving communist' for suggesting that launching a full-scale invasion of a middle-east nation was not the best idea, and that perhaps a group of 'leaders' who had a past (and current) history of coddling terrorists and oppressive regimes were not being forthright in their intentions. I cant even say I take joy in being proven correct in my apprehension because 1500 Americans and 100,000 Iraqis I never had a problem with are dead as a result. Yet merely pointing out that the massive death and destruction these depraved perverts have caused means I am not 'supporting the war effort'. They want reconciliation now well fuck that. I am angry and I am not alone.

10. I agree with you
The Repukes are the party that says "We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity."

I submit that turnabout is fair play: somebody should do exactly that to the Repukes. Especially the Christianity part: make 'em read Matthew.

13. Why pander to losers
who may never be in power again w/o an armed rebellion to reestablish fair elections.

Let's see: The repubes would be in the position of saying by analogy: We raped your wife, we killed your kids, but we still like you. Oh, that's useful.

Maybe that's how two-faced you expect your politicians to be, but why lie anymore than is necessary? The repubes won, they poisoned our well and salted our earth. We know they hate us and we hate them for what they've done to our country. And you expect civility?

PS. At minimum, this is a clear indication that they don't ever expect to lose an election again.

would have been great as President, and if every one of them had won, the country would have ushered Utopia on earth.
