Did anyone see on the international news that there is a twist on this ...
Italian lady who got shot at by the American military.. the newspaper she worked for is now saying that they were shot at ON purpose and that the man was killed because he was the Italians version of secret service and he "knew too much" about what the American military is REALLY doing over there....
of course we would NEVER hear this on our "liberal" media...
so anyone else here this on the international news this morning?

1. Link? Station?
"the international news" is somewhat vague.

5. Il Manifesto (in English) online story and link to BBC here:
Il Manifesto story here, in English:

http://www.ilmanifesto.it/pag/sgrena/en/

While there is a palpable sense of anger at the incident, I see no allegations even implied that Nicola Calipari was shot on purpose.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4321181.stm

The BBC online version also mentions nothing about this allegation.

8. No. I did not see it. But let me repost here what I just posted on two
previous threads-- WHO BUT BUSH WOULD WANT TO HAVE SGRENA SILENCED?
She was first silenced, disappeared, when she went to interview survivors of the fallujah massacre. She wanted he boy friend to show pictures she had taken of iraqi children being hit by cluster bombs.

WHO BENEFITS FROM HER SILENCE? THE insurgents? HARDLY! Wouldn't the insurgents want the entire world to know what exactly the USA did in Fallujah?

Suspicious minds have long suspected that sgrena was being held, or had been captured by rogue AMERICAN forces in iraq.

Why wouldn't American intelligence, which MASTER GEORGE claims is so good that it has OSAMA BIN LADEN hippitty hopping like a scared bunny from hiding hole to hiding hole, know that sgrena had been freed, that she was travelling in the particular car, and that the agent who was travelling with her, was in fact travelling with her.

Suspicious minds DO BELIEVE that American Intelligence and thus the American guarding that particular post knew, that sgrena had been freed, that the agent securing her freedom was travelling with her, and that INDEED, BUSH THE SOB (SON OF BARBARA) WAS AND IS CAPABLE OF HAVING SGRENA, HER AGENT, AND EVERYONE ELSE IN THAT CAR SILENCED FOREVER as the foreign press report that you said this morning is saying.

HOW MANY AND WHO AMONG US ARE GULLIBEL ENOUGH TO BELIEVE THAT BUSH IS A SAINT, THAT HE IS INCAPABLE OF KILLING (OR HAVING KILLED) WHOEVER GETS IN HIS WAY OR IS ABOUT TO REVEAL SOME TRUTH HE WANTS TO KEEPT SECRET. WHO AND HOW MANY AMONG US ARE GULLIBE ENOUGHT THAT THE BUSHES ARE NOT RUTHLESS PEOPLE READY TO USE WHATEVER WEAPON NECESSARY TO THEM TO PRETEND TO KEEP THEIR NAME AND THEIR STINKING REPUTATION INTACT.

11. EXTREMELY unlikely scenario.
Edited on Sat Mar-05-05 09:25 AM by reichstag911
If she were being held by rogue American forces, they never would have let her go, and they could have blamed the kidnapping and murder on the all-purpose "terra-ists." Why complicate that unnecessarily by releasing her, then trying to kill her and her fellow Italian(s)? Occam's Razor: the simplest solution is usually the right one. American kids scared shitless in a place they don't belong with itchy trigger fingers.

It will be interesting if this pushes the Italian public to resign from the "Coalition of the Killing (Billing, Shilling, Swillling, Spilling, Drilling,...)."

9. Al Jazeeera link here (from another GD thread)

Still no allegations--even from AJ:

http://english.aljazeera.net/NR/exeres/B0C6B4E5-26EA-4EBE-AA58-CF570B736837.htm

Edit: It is interesting that this is the only story that mentions that Calipari was DIRECTLY involved with the negotiations, though. Even the Il Manifesto story has no mention of it?!

10. the Italians do not trust the Americans.
one of the main duties of the Italians is to guard historic sites from the looters maybe they are discovering links to European and American art dealers that were given a free pass by the bush whitehouse and tony blair. why wouldn`t they stop? maybe they knew that they would be held for interrogation? the whole thing smells....
