ProgBlog Research Center

This is a pretty cool blog resource at Dr. Laniac’s Laboratory. It was launched Feb 27, 2005 and is “a progressive political search engine, a blog directory, and a headline service.” It seems to do a fairly good job, although a couple search terms I entered didn’t bring up ALL the blogs on the topic. Since he seems to be pulling feeds from 430+ blogs, it’s possible the very nature of feeds means particular blog posts might get missed on occasion. Still, it’s an excellent blog resource and will be valuable in bringing people together on various topics. At the SS lecture yesterday, Senator Dorgan quoted FDR on leaders and said the leaders on SS will be the people. The ProgBlog Resource Center is just one more tool to help people connect and organize and, in honor of Martha’s release, that’s a good thing!
