Here I sit in stinky vapor.
Came to vote, but got no paper.
Pushed the button, left no mark.
Another outcome in the dark.
found this while cleaning up some files today. tried to fit it into something larger but... it is what it is.

somehow, toilet wall doggerel is just about 'right' for what's become of 'elections' in the new american empire....

major updates!

2. Burma Shave
Sorry, that's what popped into my mind. I guess I'm one the old farts that actually remember the Burma Shave signs and your little ditty sure has the same cadence.

4. Crazy idea....
maybe we should reinvent the Burma Shave concept to promote some liberal ideas. I suspect we have move than enough talented people to come up with some real zingers. Hmmm, coast to coast grass root movement. Light hearted humor and satire just might be the ticket....

5. not THAT crazy...
a variation on the 'freeway blogger' concept.

and, IIRC, those signs were ONE LINE AT A TIME...

so, being the clever folk we are, we *could* save the ZINGERs for the LAST signs...

6. Ambiguous political message...Hmmm
Yes, six signs were spaced down the road so you had an audience for quite awhile anticipating the next line, versus the freeway bloggers one shot.

Bush said "don't look for WMDs-
Saddam has them" (doesn't he?)
Bomb him and catch him and put him in a cell-
Osama is free, but what the hell?
SOMEONE LIES- PEOPLE DIE

Hey, we have some creative people at DU, I didn't say I was one of them ;)
