35. Could you please post a recap for those of us just getting in?
I tried weeding through the links last night - but it is VERY time consuming. Can anyone just give a quick - here's where we are - at the start of each new thread?

the Jeff Gannon aka James Guckert aka bulldog is the JD Guckert that attended WCU in 1980 and was a member of the TKE fraternity.

We know that our boy is the same JD Guckert that claimed to be an alumnus and TKE member in 2001. We have his photo at the TKE party in 2001. We also have the minutes of the TKE meetings from that time span which refer to him as a big brother and the web master. There is the odd minute reference in May of 2004 where it tries to relieve concerns of the TKEs that questioned whether he was a spook by discussing the fact that a TKE member ids him as Gannon having seen him on CSpan.

We also know that the websites with his escort businesses and photos all relate to our boy and we assume that the tax judgment is his.

October 18, 1996: Tax judgment filed for failure to pay Delaware state income tax over a multi-year period -- (is this now being questioned as to whether its Guckert.)

April 10, 1997: Bedrock corporation incorporated in Delaware (???by whom???)

December, 1998: Gannon/Guckert attends Christmas orgy. (Washington Blade, Feb. 18, 2004)

August 31, 1999: First invoice for porn site design. Name used is "Jeff"

September 27, 1999: GOPUSA.com registered

February 23, 2000: underwear photo uploaded to AOL

What we don't know is Gannon the same fellow as the Guckert that attended WCU in 1980?

A photo would help because the similarites found in the photos of Gannon compared to a kid named Johnny Gosch, whose abduction in 1982 has been linked to a DC child-prostitution ring. Gannon also bears remarkable resemblences to Johnny's parents, Noreen Gosch and J. Gosch, Sr.

We also know that Gannon claimed to be 31 or 32 in 2001 and 2003 on his escort websites. Yet, the other fellow, Guckert that attended WCU in 1980, was supposed to have been born in 1957.

So you see, there are still uncertainties. We are not sure of who Gannon is, we know he admits that JD Guckert "is the name on his drivers license".

62. This is an excellent summation!! ...except...
I would change one line:

"A photo would help because the similarites found in the photos of Gannon compared to a kid named Johnny Gosch, whose abduction in 1982 has been linked to a DC child-prostitution ring. Gannon also bears remarkable resemblences to Johnny's parents, Noreen Gosch and J. Gosch, Sr."

Just because I wouldn't know who the heck the Gosch's were and why their names were suddenly linked with Gannon's photo.

But other than that--top notch recap!!

73. Gosch came up
because of the past linkages to Bush family and kiddie sex rings....and someone, was it Andy?, looking at the info came across John Gosch's photo (he was abducted at age 11, and there was a supposed CIA connection).

Then there were noted physical similarities and other odd coincidences:

John David Gosch (newspaper carrier)abducted to be a sex slave?
James Dale Guckert (sex worker/escort/spook?)
Jeff Daniel Gannon (reporter)

Young Gosch worked for a man named Gannon. His age matches one of Gannon's reported ages...but who knows which of all the things Gannon says is true?

Gosch's mom Noreen will neither deny nor confirm whether Gannon's her son. Strange position to take!

Now I know why I had such a hard time following this.

So -- 1980 - JD Guckert was attending WCU and was a member of the TKE fraternity.

1982 -- J. Gosch, Sr. and Noreen Gosch's son, Johnny Gosch, was abducted and his abduction was linked to a DC child-prostitution ring.

I'll have to read more of this -- but in two years he had a family? How old was Johnny when he was abducted? Did he have two identities when he was at WSU? This is worth the time it takes to read all of this.

Thanks for the update!!!

Edit: OK - I was confused - so you think Gannon was Johnny Gosch - not Senior. He was 11 when he was abducted - that would make him born in 1971 and he'd be 34 today.

If he was born in 1957 like the TKE guy - he'd be 48 today. So he was probably one or the other - is that right? I'll keep reading.

185. That's it, we are trying to get some type of confirmation that
bulldog Jeff Gannon aka James Guckert is the JD Guckert that attended WSU in 1980 and was a TKE. If he is that JD Guckert, his date of birth would be 1957 and obviously he could not be Johnny Gosch. We are trying to get a photo of the JD Guckert from 1980.

However, in comparing the photos of Bulldog to Johnny Gosch, Noreen Gosch and Johnny Gosch, Sr., it is hard to dismiss the facial similiarites. They are uncanny. Bulldog has a thin upper lip and full bottom lip, he has prominent check bones like NG's and a cleft in his chin like JG,Jrs. His eyes turn downward like JG,Srs. and they all have the same chin.

Gosch was disappeared in 1982, NG has reported that she was visited by him in 1997.

On Bulldog's escort sites he says he is 31 or 32 and those with the reviews of his "talents" do not dispute his age. It appears that the info on those sites was completed in 2001 or 2002, so if he wasn't lying about his age on the site, his age would be consistent with JG's age.

NG, acting on the advice of her attorney, will neither admit or deny that bulldog is her son.

We have a photo of bulldog, as JD Guckert, at a 2001 party of the TKE where he attended as an alumnus frat member. He is wearing glasses. We also have the minute entries from the TKE in 2001-2004 that make reference of JD Guckert as the webmaster and a big brother to pledges. We also have an odd May 2004 reference in the minutes where JDG is discussed in an attempt to dismiss the rumors that he was CIA or FBI. One member recognizes him as a reporter on CSpan, Gannon.

So that is where our search has taken us. Many have linked the very creepy articles/sites that discuss the Franklin case and the CIA psyop program that involved abducting minors, subjecting them to sexual abuse and using them as sex slaves for various reasons (mind control experiments, to pimp to foreign and national leaders and use photos and videos for blackmail, to satisfy the pleasures of leaders, etc.)

You can imagine what it would mean to the BFEE if it is linked to the sicko pedophile ring if it is discovered that bulldog is Gosch and not Guckert. Who gave him the identity and why was he allowed in the WH? If he is Gosch & not Guckert, what happened to Guckert from 1980?

193. WOW!!!! Thanks for bringing me up to date.
Didn't someone also say that Guckert joined the military AFTER graduating from WSU? And that it is unusual for a person to join the military AFTER graduating from college unless maybe it was a good first step for some company. PERHAPS the "real" Guckert was also a sppok - he died - and since Gannon couldn't use the identity of "Gosch" - he was given Guckert's identity.

Does anyone know Gucker's (from WSU) parents, etc? On CNN Gannon went on and on about how his family (Mother and Brother? - NOT Wife and Kids) have been harrassed by this whole thing. Who are they - if he has assumed Gucker's identity - he wouldn't be in contact with his real Mother. Was that totally made up - we know Gannon lies like crazy?

Does anyone fear that we are not safe discussing this?

196. look at posts 131 and 111 below
there are those that are convinced that bulldog is the JDG that attended WSU in 1980 and some have suggested the names of that JDG's living relatives.

I fear not getting to the bottom of the scandal more than I fear discussing these possibilities.

I tried ordering it from Amazon, I was told it would be 2 months. I ended up getting it from a used book store (even signed by Ted Gunderson.)

Used book stores might be your best bet in getting a copy. We are blessed with many in Dallas, but I found it at the first little neighborhood "mom and pop" operation that I went to.

82. Another death in the republican party, maybe nothing, maybe something

http://www.washingtontimes.com/national/20050303-110422...
Republican media adviser found dead
By Stephanie Mansfield
THE WASHINGTON TIMES

Republican media adviser R. Gregory Stevens, who recently served as co-chairman of the Bush/Cheney Entertainment Task Force, was found dead Saturday in the Hollywood home of actress Carrie Fisher.
"He passed away here, and in a place where he was loved," Miss Fisher said yesterday from her home in Los Angeles.
Mr. Stevens, 42, was scheduled to attend the Academy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night and was staying with Miss Fisher at the time of his death. The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office said yesterday that the cause of death was unknown, pending results of toxicology tests.
His body was found in a guest room by Miss Fisher midmorning Saturday.
"I'm sorry I found him, but he was happy here," the actress said yesterday. "People want to find a scandal in it, but there is none. I don't get it. Nobody does."
Mr. Stevens, who was an associate of the Washington powerhouse lobbying group Barbour, Griffith & Rogers, also helped orchestrate the firm's star-studded party for watching the inaugural parade and was known to have deep roots in the Hollywood community.
"He was very popular, and had tons of connections in Hollywood," said Haley Barbour, one of the firm's founding partners, who resigned to take office as governor of Mississippi in 2004.
"They found him fun, engaging, energetic. Just the way people in Washington did," Mr. Barbour said yesterday from his Jackson office.
A flamboyant personality and bicoastal bachelor, Mr. Stevens was regarded as something of a misfit in the corridors of the buttoned-down lobbying firm, and yet "had a large circle who he touched."

r.gregory stevens

During the administration of former President George H.W. Bush, Stevens served as special assistant to Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Jack Kemp. Before that, he was deputy executive director of the California Republican Party where he directed financial operations for the successful Pete Wilson gubernatorial campaign.

From 1984 to 1987, Stevens was assistant to Drew Lewis, chairman of Warner-Amex Cable Communications Inc. During his tenure, he was appointed by President Reagan to assist Drew Lewis efforts as special envoy to Canada for acid rain.

Stevens also served on the Reagan-Bush 1984 re-election campaign as an assistant to Lewis, who was then chairman of national strategy and the Reagan-Bush Platform Team.

He consulted on political operations in Costa Rica, Hungary, Kenya, Macedonia, Montenegro, Nigeria, South Korea, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Thailand and Togo.

Telephone messages left Friday for Barbour Griffith & Rogers spokesman Loren Monroe weren't immediately returned.

During last year's Bush for President campaign, Stevens served as co-chairman of the Bush/Cheney Entertainment Task Force and managed the campaign's relationships with key entertainment industry leaders and film, television and music celebrities.

He served as director of Entertainment Outreach for the 2001 Presidential Inaugural Committee, where he recruited and directed celebrity involvement on behalf of President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.

Okay, what tie, if any does this have to our boy.
From this article we know that Stevens was a media consultant for the lobbying group Barbour, Griffith & Rogers.

We know from Gannon's writings that one of "his stories" published before Talon News Service was established (Feb 2003) was touting the greatness of Barbour and announcing his run for GOP candidate for gov of MS.

Do these connectons have any meaning????

Barbour Announces Run for Mississippi Governor
By Jeff Gannon
GOPUSA News
February 19, 2003

YAZOO CITY, MS (GOPUSA News) -- Former Republican National Committee Chairman Haley Barbour announced that he would be running for governor of Mississippi. The 55 year-old Washington lawyer and lobbyist, who once served as a political advisor to President Ronald Reagan, has decided to return to Mississippi "because I know we can do better."

After one of several speeches around the state, Barbour pointed out, "This state has spent like a drunken sailor. Drunken sailors should be offended by the comparison."

Barbour said state government had fallen "from its strongest fiscal condition ever to the worst financial crisis in our state's history." Barbour said his campaign would focus on "prioritizing spending" and fighting "any and all tax increases." He declared that "to raise taxes while government is on a spending binge is only feeding the beast."

Barbour is the first Republican to announce his intention to run against the incumbent Democrat Ronnie Musgrove. If Barbour were to win, he would become only the second Republican elected governor of Mississippi since Reconstruction.

97. A swirl of synchronicities
Greg Stevens is quite a common name.
FWIW, there is a picture of a 42 year old "Greg Stevens" age 42 in a "person-in-the-street" poll in the Washington Blade. He gives his profession as "educator." A google of images shows a younger Greg Stevens who has nude shots of himself posted. There is a Democratic official names Greg Stevens in of all places, Iowa. I haven't seen an article on this death which gives a picture yet.

Speaking of common names, I find it interesting that George Bush's old college roomie Victor Ashe (one-time mayor of Knoxville) is nicknamed Bulldog, which is also a Jeff Gannon handle.

If we can stay focused on the topic, and keep chatting to a minimum, it will keep the information from getting diluted by being spread over too many threads.

6. silly question, probably...
Has "Jeff Gannon" ever actually said the words: "I was born James Guckert"? It seems to me that in all his answers about the name thing (that I've seen, anyway) he has been evasive. The "that's the name on my driver's license" doesn't really convince me that was the name he was born with.

Sorry if this has been covered. I've been following all the wrinkles threads, but I must admit my memory isn't the greatest.

It was mentioned before that Gannon said that (James Guckert) was the name on his drivers license. It didn't convince a lot of us. In the interview with Anderson Cooper (I think) he said that was the name given to me. Still not convincing...given to him by who? His parents, Lawrence King, cia, etc.?

Merh, I saw your request for a photo of the guy in the Washington Blade. Let me hold off on that until a picture shows up that is definitively that of the Greg Stevens who died, and I can see whether there's a likeness. I'd rather not drag some poor innocent guy in if he's not the one!

As for the Guckert who died in the eighties, pretty much all the Guckerts who died from then until now were quite elderly. The Latter Day Saints database is a very useful genealogical tool, and does have Social Security death information in it.

I noted that the Guckert who died in '83 was elderly, but that Gannon/Guckert may still be using his info (such as SS#) and also assuming some of the identity of the Guckert who graduated from West Chester in 1980.

If you have two Jim Guckerts, a "real" one who's inactive in his fraternity, and one who shows up after 20 years to become an active alumni member, who would know the difference? The real Guckert's friends would just think this dude in the news named Jim Guckert had the same name as their friend. Th kids in the frat now wouldn't know the "real" Guckert to compare him. This could explain why no one from his alleged past has come forward--to them, Jim Guckert is alive and well.

With how little most people have heard about Gannon/Guckert via the MSM, I have to believe that most people don't know the Gannon/Guckert connection to TKE. Just us obsessed with him here, and inside the beltway.

At least, that's my working theory at this point.

Welcome to DU, Ferry Fey! :hi:

Edited on Sat Mar-05-05 10:29 PM by mordarlar
form a comprehensive history for both and them find out where the connections are. We may not find a backround that fits a normal pattern. If this man was USED than there will not be ONE comprehensive and patterned history. I think this is what is tripping us.

The following is info about Lee Harvey Oswald. Assuming he was manipulated by the same people there are things to be learned. They have been doing this game for along time. If this machine of assholes have been creating false lives for over 40 yrs than we need to begin to see the patterns AS THEY CREATE THEM, not as WE think they should be.

*****

Oswald lost a from tooth as a boy. It is shown in a picture from his school days. The man that was arrested for shooting Kennedy had ALL HIS TEETH. As did the remains that were exhumed.

http://home.wi.rr.com/harveyandlee/Tooth/Tooth.htm

Medical records say "Oswald" had his tonsils removed as a young boy. His military records show a bout of tonsillitis with...SWELLING OF HIS LEFT TONSIL.

http://home.wi.rr.com/harveyandlee/Tonsillectomy/Tonsil...

A woman working in unemployment saw "Oswald" two times in a matter of a few months. Although very similar and almost seeming to be the same man she SWORE they were not. One was even taller.

A teacher and friend of Oswald's says he was NOTICEABLY shorter after a break.

This sound SO MUCH LIKE THIS with GANNON. We may need to REALLY START thinking outside the box.

These are the photos the government identified as Oswald.

There is a neat military looking fellow. He appears to have a narrower forehead and longer face then the commonly known Oswald. Yet their eyes are EXTREMELY similar.

Oswald repeatedly showed up in two places at once. He was seen several times in CA during the time he was overseas in the military.

174. The Social Security Death Index doesn't include everyone
After 9/11, someone said it was suspicious that many of the victims from the four flights did not appear in the Social Security Death Index. I checked and found out that all the elderly victims were listed and it was only the younger ones who weren't.

The SSDI is not a comprehensive list of everbody who dies in this country. It only includes deaths for which notification has been sent to the Social Security Administration, and notification is legally required only when the person who dies has been receiving Social Security payments.

So the fact that all the Guckets shown in the SSDI the relevant period were elderly is of absolutely no relevance. All it means is than if any younger Guckerts died then, they're not in the list.

248. ..but the SSDI is very accurate in listing deaths
PubMed Central (PMC) is the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) free digital archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature.

Advisory Committee
http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/about/nac.html

Use of the Social Security Administration Death Master File for ascertainment of mortality status

Internet sources of vital status
Internet sites such as http://Ancestry.com<1> provide free access to the SSA Death Master File, maintained by the Social Security Administration. The Death Master File contained 65,445,243 records of decedents with social security numbers whose deaths were reported to the SSA and was current through January 2001 at the time of this study. Search tools such as the Social Security Death Index (SSDI) available as a free service on the Internet contain information fields for social security number, surname, given name, date of death, date of birth, last known residence, location of last benefit, and date and place of issuance. The database is not downloadable, however, software to allow for multiple searches can be easily implemented using packages such as JAVA. Searches can be conducted with any one field or a combination of fields. For this study we used date of birth, social security number and/or first and last name.
http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=406423

Basically,
those blokes are saying that the SSA Death Master file is PHENOMENAL
and also that the SSDI
(which is a slightly less complete version
of the SSA Death Master File)
is not shabby either.
Apparently 94 to 97 per cent of all SSA death info is current and accurate.

Almost 10 months after the World Trade Center attack, a widow found out that an identity clone had been living and working using her husband's information. He had died during the attack.
<snip>
Identity thieves obtain information about deceased individuals in various ways. They may watch the obituaries, steal death certificates, or even get the information from websites that offer a Social Security Death Index file. These websites are supposed to be used for genealogy research but are sometimes used to steal an identity. Unfortunately, the thief may also be a family member who may be taking advantage of the situation or who has been using that identity for a long time already. This may be especially true if the deceased suffered from a lengthy illness, mental confusion, or there is arguing among family members prior to the death.
The problem is that financial institutions are not immediately made aware that their customer is deceased. It takes time for the Social Security Administration to transmit the Death Master File to the financial industry. Until the institution receives word that the individual is deceased, the account remains active. As of this writing, that file is not complete. It is based on information provided by consumers and some governmental agencies. Unfortunately many deaths do not appear on the list.
http://www.idtheftcenter.org/vg117.shtml

Jimmy Hoffa probably does NOT appear on the SSDI database because his death has not yet been confirmed. It is possible that he is still alive -- although I personally wouldn't bet on it.

Beginning on May 15, 1978, applicants for SSNs have had to document (using documents such as birth certificate or driver’s license) age, identity, and citizenship or alien status. If the applicant is at least 18 years old, a personal interview is conducted to determine if the person has had an SSN before. Additional verification is performed, such as contacting the State Bureau of Vital Statistics to verify the existence of a birth certificate, conducting a search for a death certificate or verifying Immigration and Naturalization documents presented by the applicant.
Currently, the verification process is based on a combination of personal data such as name, date and place of birth, sex, mother’s maiden name, and father’s name. These data elements are also used to screen the SSA database for any previous issuance to the person. The SSA reported to Congress in 1997 that its SSN database is highly accurate and allows assignment of an SSN within 24 hours if there are no questions about the data.
http://cltg.org/cltg/privacy/privssan.html

Let us look at the 911 people for just ONE moment -- since we can check them out without invasion of privacy concerns.
Ryan Allen who was a 19 year old kid from Kansas in 2004.
On April 10, Allen was trying to buy a car at Van Chevrolet in Kansas City. When the dealership checked his credit, Allen’s Social Security number came up as being that of Ramzi Bin al-Shibh, whom federal authorities have called a senior al-Qaida operative.
Al-Shibh is on the list of "blocked persons" that is maintained by the U.S. Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control, or OFAC, which orders U.S. banks to block assets of suspected terrorist financiers and enforces economic sanctions against some countries and against suspected drug overlords.
The connection prompted the dealership to call police, which called the FBI, which said it did not have a high priority because al-Shibh was arrested two years ago in Pakistan, Allen said.
The car dealership said it could not sell Allen a car because his Social Security number was on the list.
http://www.showmenews.com/2004/Apr/20040422News025.asp
In order to even QUALIFY for Social Security number a foreigner must first legally enter the US and then present their paperwork to the SSA. Ramzi never entered the US. Therefore, in order for that number to have been issued to Ramzi, then Ramzi must have had a benefactor who is as influential as the person who got JeffJames into the White House.
The case of Ramzi is NOT one of stolen identity.
The number was identified as being that of Ramzi.
We have no idea where Ryan Allen fits into any of this, especially since SS numbers are NEVER recyled.

Almost 10 months after the World Trade Center attack, a widow found out that an identity clone had been living and working using her husband’s information. He had died during the attack.
http://www.idtheftcenter.org/html/fs120.htm
So the widow, became a widow all over again.
In this case, the number traced back to her husband,
who was still snuggly interred within his grave.

In summary,
the SSA knows and keeps very decent records which can be accessed online.

In the case of the 911 people, Gov Pataki suspended the NY law which insists that people must first be proven to have existed before they can be issued death certificates. Gov Pataki issued an Executive Order allowing two copies of a death certificate to be issued if a family member an an employer both wrote out an affidavit.
This was done so that the families would quickly be able to qualify for SS benefits, and yet these deaths remain unreported, and unrecorded by the SSA, to this very day.
Furthermore, the overwhelming majority of the 911 people do not appear to exist ANYWHERE outside of Gov Pataki's Executive Order.

But to return to JeffJames:
for what it is worth, the SSDI lists a
J D GANNON
Born 02 Mar 1907
Died 13 Mar 2000 (Verified)
of zip code 20814 located in Bethesda, Montgomery county, Maryland.
The SS number was issued in the District of Columbia.

If memory serves,
this death occurred BEFORE JeffJames showed up on the radar.
Not that it matters.
The Justice Department is adept at relocating people and giving them completely new IDs. Perhaps JeffJames' benefactor pulled some strings....

you want to steal a recently departed and I don't think age mattered. Now that was way back when that I am thinking about and I think that the reasons for doing it that way had something to do with the crossing of the records.

Remember this is just something popping up in my mind and may not be accurate.

JoBeth Williams and River Phoenix as a kid. Hersh & Williams were anti-war protestors in the 60's and they were running from the gov. They assumed identities and/or never gave true ss#s - they would check obits at least that is the movie I am tieing this to.

Now if its the gov, they don't have to assume an identity, they just create one. They, afterall, are the ones that give ss#s and keep up with the census info. How else do they hide witnesses in the witness protection program?

I am 47,(the same as he says he is)and some of the photos I've seen of Gannon/Guckert look remarkably like him, (except he no longer wears glasses, has long hair, and may have gotten the huge gap between his two upper front teeth repaired). And he was openly gay and a self-identified republican then as well. Is this the same person who then was known as James,Jim, James Dale, and J.D.Guckert?

I would have to ask the guy that posted the info you have linked here if he knows whether or not the James Dale Guckert joined the military and what branch and ask him for a high school photo from his year book if he has it.

Keep in mind, if JDG is a created persona, those that created him could easily be posting disinformation confirming his identity to stop the inquiries.

I really think a photo of who these folks say is the JD Guckert should be supplied to confirm his identity.

On those pages, Gannon/Guckert supposedly wrote that he had not always been a republican, that his parents were democrats. (Paraphrased)

94. The last known address for James Guckert who died in 1983 was
in Alaska. I can't see how age would matter if they gave that identity to a young person in Pennsylvania or Ohio or Colorado. What would be the chances of an man's death in Alaska intersecting with a person 50 years his junior somewhere in the continental US? Even if "our" Jim Guckert met up with someone in that other Jim Guckert's family, the original Guckerts would just think Gannon/Guckert was a distant, long-forgotten relative.

And your input is most welcome. There was a replay of Noreen Gosch's 3 hour interview the other night on webradio (prerecorded from last year, I understand) and the host of the show ended the program by emphatically saying that, "this whole scandal is about satansism more than anything else"

it gave me the chills.

117. Hello Zap, welcome to DU!
Your post might have been deleted because you linked sites that are not allowed here. You might want to go to the admin forum and ask them about the post. Tell them basically what it contained and ask them to explain why it was deleted.

I don't remember what you posted exactly, but you did include links. From what I recall, the substance was not disruptive and it did not contain any personal attacks, so it might have been your links.

Again, just ask the admin and welcome to DU! :hi:

226. there were no links in the post...
Actually I just re-read my original post again and there are NO LINKS in the post. I QUOTED a website, but it was not TBR...(I'm not even sure what TBR is, actually), I didn't even list the URL for the website the quote came from, so for all the mods know, I could have gotten that anywhere.

and then my post asking for the mod who deleted the original post to show me what I did wrong gets deleted?! I'm sure it was because it's in the wrong forum, but why not have a "moved to another forum" function then? What else can I do if my post count isn't high enough to start a new thread? man, how does anything even get done on this site? so much beauracracy......I think I'll stick to reading and researching on my own ....I don't think I should be a part of this site or board.

Good luck to everyone with this topic... I think the mainstream media is going to be picking up on this more and more...and a lot of it is due to this discussion. I'm sorry that some unseen mod deemed my information offensive to the site, because I was really looking forward to sharing what I had and learning from the rest of you....but I'm not gonna sit here in the dark and wonder why with no answer given..or even attempted to be given...by the mods.

Have a nice day everyone!

59. You know,
and for what it's worth: of the 157 persons sentenced to death in Texas during George W Bush's tenure as governor, only one had his sentence commuted by the governor. That fortunate person was none other than notorious serial killer Henry Lee Lucas:

"Strangely enough, this singular compassionate act by the governor has gone almost completely unmentioned by the mainstream media, even amidst the flurry of stories generated by the two previously mentioned cases. When McGinn was granted a stay of execution, many press accounts noted that this was the first stay issued by the governor, while avoiding mention altogether of the fact that Bush had previously granted an outright commutation. Other accounts claimed that the McGinn case was the first death penalty case in which Bush had taken any action.

Only a few media accounts made mention of the fact that Governor Bush had, in fact, intervened to stop the scheduled execution of a condemned man in June 1998. Virtually none of these accounts, however, made mention of who the recipient of this commutation was. And the recipient was, it should be noted, no garden-variety criminal. No, this was a very special case indeed, for the man whose life was spared by 'Law & Order' George was none other than serial killer Henry Lee Lucas. Lucas is not a garden-variety serial killer: he is probably the most prolific, and arguably the most brutal, serial killer in the American crime annals.

Why then was it this man, and he alone, who received clemency from the governor? Why has there been a nearly complete blackout of this story in the media? Why, for that matter, has there been no mention of it by any of Bush's presidential rivals, Republican or Democrat, despite its obvious power as a weapon in the current campaign?"

http://www.disinfo.com/archive/pages/dossier/id419/pg1/

That's a little weird, but probably not too significant. But then, there are certain rumours about Henry Lee involving satanism as well as him being recruited from prison to be an assassin for an alphabet agency. He claimed to receive orders from a sect called The Hand of Death on occasions (Incidentally, so did apperantly Charles Manson. Now the rational explanation is of course that Lucas got the idea from reading about Manson). To be taken with a very large grain of salt, of course, but insofar as one accepts the possibility of a national security state-"satanism"-mind control connection, it should at least fit the theme, without saying anything about its plausibility. (please wait while I adjust the tinfoil... takes some getting used to:-))

This is a relatively un-hyperbolic summary:
http://www.carpenoctem.tv/killers/lucas.html

This is more "out-there":
http://www.konformist.com/2000/henry.htm

"Lucas claimed that he was trained by the cult in a mobile paramilitary camp in the Florida Everglades in the fine art of killing, up close and personal. Other training involved abduction and arson techniques."

I can't vouch for the sources, as I know nothing about them.

Probably nothing more to it than a nutcase serial killer and a governor excercising his compassionate conservatism though... :tinfoilhat:

BTW, Nick Cave sings about Henry Lee in one of his murder ballads!

69. this is what AI had to say ...
...
In a bizarre turn of events, 1998 also produced the first-ever commutation of a contemporary Texas death sentence granted in response to an inmate’s petition. On 26 June, Governor George Bush commuted the death sentence of Henry Lee Lucas to life imprisonment, one week after asking the Board of Pardons to review the case due to longstanding questions about his guilt. Lucas gained notoriety for confessing to more than 600 murders, including the crime that resulted in his death sentence. A subsequent investigation by the Texas Attorney General concluded that Lucas was perpetrating a massive hoax on the authorities by falsely confessing to unsolved crimes.

Despite concerns raised by the Attorney General and employment records showing that he was in Florida at the time of the crime, Lucas spent 14 years on death row. Characteristically, Board chairperson Victor Rodriguez insisted that the Board remained convinced of Lucas's guilt as determined by his trial jury. "Nothing we've done affects that finding," he stated.(24)

74. By the looks of it
our friend George did the right thing. The thing is, he did the right thing only once:

"The first case, that of Ricky Nolen McGinn, resulted in the first stay of execution issued by Governor Bush. Following quickly on the heels of this case was the scheduled execution of Gary Graham, a man convicted and sentenced to death solely on the testimony of a single eyewitness. Her testimony went unchallenged by Graham's defense counsel, who also failed to call a number of witnesses whose testimony would have pointed towards the innocence of the accused. Despite the mockery of a trial received by the condemned man, Bush allowed the execution to proceed.

This was far from being the first case where Bush allowed a man to be executed despite questions of innocence and serious improprieties that occurred during the condemned men's trials. A Chicago Tribune newspaper independent investigation revealed dozens of similar cases. Governor Bush has been extremely reluctant to exercise his 'compassionate conservatism' on behalf of any death row inmate whose case has come before him. Bush now has the rather dubious distinction of having presided over more executions than any governor in any state in the country's history has. He has accomplished this in just over five years.

Among those who have been put to death under Bush's tenure have been many who would not long ago have been considered ineligible for the ultimate punishment by the state, including women, the mentally ill, the mentally retarded, and those whose offenses were committed as juveniles. Bush has had no moral qualms with endorsing the executions of all such inmates whose cases have crossed his desk. In nearly 140 scheduled executions that the governor has presided over, in only one case has he granted clemency and spared the condemned man from his appointment with the executioner."

That's the weird part...

Giving a condemned man the benefit of the doubt is extremely out of character for our friend. And this man at that, who is arguably as disgusting as they come, even if he didn't actually commit most of the murders he confessed to. Conspicuous.

25. More about Guckert who died in 1983.
I got a PM from Gelliebeans replying to my post 173 in Wrinkles 8. I stated in the post that I didn't know where Gelliebeans got her info on the James Guckert who died in 1983. (Referring to her Post #223 in Wrinkles 5.) Here's what she wrote me:

"I got this information off the social security death index
regarding the Gannon/Guckert/Gosch thread. The tread was locked
so I couldn't reply in thread 8. I am an amateur genealogist so
I have lots of links to genealogy forums and pages. The death
seemed mysterious to me because as you pointed out it was one
year after the johnny gosch's disappearance."

So we have two separate confirmations of a James Guckert dying in 1983 during our boy's "lost years"--one from Social Security, and one from ancestry.com.

FWIW!

The Social Security death index is available Free to Ancestry.com subscribers.
All public libraries in Ohio subscribe to many of these expensive databases. Most are available through your libraries webpage with your library card number.
However, some databases are only available from within the library building. 2 of these are Ancestry Plus and Reference USA (a business and residential directory)
I think other states may be similar.

Ahhh....... I found it! I emailed this to myself. duh...

=====º↕==

http://la.indymedia.org/news/2005/03/123303.php

"Beware of the big green dragon that sits on your Doorstep. He eats little boys!" Bela Lugosi

The recent death of Hunter S. Thompson came as a shock to me and I actually thought it would be a shock to many others. An even bigger shock to me was that the idea that the great gonzo journalist committing suicide didn't seem to surprise anyone. He lived a very hard life and yet it seemed to me that Thompson would want to keep living just so he could have another day to get someone to think or piss someone off.

His death had actually got me to thinking about the reporter in the blogging age and the controversy surrounding Jeff Gannon/Guckert. Gannon you may remember was exposed as slap shot journalist that threw softball questions at the President. John Aravosis, who is a guerilla blogger first exposed Jeff Gannon as a gay prostitute whose real name is James Guckert.

The surprising thing is that the mainstream media wants to downplay this and the left wing is using it as a Lewinski type of scandal to bring down the Bush presidency. The left sees it at sexual hypocrisy. The problem for the left is that the reporting has to be done with kid gloves because of the gay issue, the issue of sex and the issues of sexual promiscuity.

Let's face it: the left doesn't like to beat up on people for having sexual appetites.

This type of story would have journalists like Hunter S. Thompson frothing at the mouth. Thompson would more than likely be a candidate to sink his teeth into this depravity and expose it to its darkest depths.

29. At great personal risk: Here is the linchpin person:
I think that Johnny Gosh is the wrong linchpin for this investigation. Try Googling "Todd Blodgett". This will really scare the shit out of you. Read the Washington Times 1989 original about bush I teenage gay male prostitutes. According to the original Washington Times report, one of the culprits is one Todd Blodgett -- purchaser of a racist anti-semitic record label, advisor to republican presidents and involved in the bush I gay male prostitute scandal.

Then read TRBNews speculation about who is behind the bush II gay male prostitute ring (even though I have been persuaded that TRBNews is not a completely credible news source because of its anti-semitic bent).

I was searching for James Guckert and up popped photo -- seemed I'd stumbled onto Jim/Jeff's new website. http://members.aol.com/jdg17/

Look at the welcome. Check out the links.

Something strange about those links - IMO. One: Jimmy Jeff uses names and language very coyly. And I can't forget the way in which he egged DU'ers on, daring them to find him.

Anyway --- the links:

I don't know how to do any of the web site searches, like when this was first posted and by whom. Maybe someone else can find that info?

But the fact that it says "Where I work" and it links not to the active company "We Paint Trucks" but to the portal site that now has that domain address seems odd. The link to the TKE site is fairly generic, too.

And why in the world wouldn't he link to his actual site, jeffgannon.com?

I don't know... it might be valid, but I'm skeptical.

*edited to add:

I do like your idea about the pun--"guys" for "guise". Might be something to that if this turns out to really be his site.

Why would a fella who was given an "in" to the WH press corps attract attention with the softballs - which just got more and more outrageous over time? I mean, the press is pretty damn docile as it is, wouldn't you say?

Why would said fella also have pornographic websites? Thinks he's that smart that no one could track them down?

Why would he also hang out at DU and taunt folks, daring them to find him (cuz he's "hiding in plain sight"?)

Why would this person, who some say has connections to CIA do these things?

IF he is CIA, why would THEY allow all of this???

That being said, I can't answer any of the rst of your questions, but I have my own questions. My favorite right now is this:

Why isn't the MSM reporting that a prostitute was in the press corp? They don't have to say he's gay--but last I heard, prostitution was illegal in DC.

was PRECISELY to ask softball questions, promote administration anti-Dem viewpoints, and "defuse" the press gaggles with the softballs if the lines of questioning were getting tough for shrub or Scottie.

What would be the point of having your fake journalist plant there if they were going to be quiet and not do anything, or ask the same kind of questions as the real journalists?

85. I agree that the whole media has not been much of any threat to shrubco
long before Gannon.

But you don't understand. Shrubco has a massive megalomaniacal need to control everything about the message.

It's also not "necessary" to have completely fake, scripted town hall meetings trashing Social Security that are easily exposed as scripted and fake. But they do it.

It's not "necessary" for shrubco to have slipped Armstrong Williams $200K under the table to pimp No Child Left Behind. I mean, who pays attention to that guy? But they did it.

They are spending MASSIVE amounts of money and effort to propagandize the country. Some of it, like Fox News, is massively successful for them. Other things, like Armstrong Williams, is probably not worth the embarrassment of exposure for whatever benefit he provided for them.

It's what they DO.

Edited on Sat Mar-05-05 10:27 PM by troubleinwinter
I think his position in the WH press was to give him high profile camera time and credibility as being "a news Washington DC bureau chief" as he has been described. Also handing off scoops like the advance of shock and awe, Mary Mapes and other "scoops" to various organizations like FUX News.

I think this was all for the purpose of gaining a reputation so that he could be fed (by, say, Rove) other stories and plant them with credibility. Another method of spreading disinformation and damaging stories about the Admin's enemies.

224. Yes, I agree, partly.
But I think he tries to portray himself as far more important than he is. His cryptic messages are just to make people pay attention to him. I suppose he may have run across Biden in DC sometime, walked up and put out his hand, saying, "I'm Jeff Gannon, Talon News." Just so he could say EXACTLY this sort of shit. "Oh sure, I'm such a DC insider, I know Biden." He is a major bullshitter.

And he claimed to have "entertained Tony Blair". Uh-huh. Just trying to portray himself as important.

He seems quite juvenile to me.

Why did Biden slam Gannon on Maher's show and ridicule him as a fake reporter, then, just a few days later, refuse to sign the letter with other dem senators calling for an investigation? Did he get a call or a letter or something that gave him a gentle reminder?

Don't know if you noticed, but my post was asking the other poster if that is what he/she was thinking - thus the question mark and shrug! You don't have to agree with me, but the subject line is as you scoff at me. IMHO, the condescending replies ('pfffftttt...') to other posts get old. Everyone has the right to an opinion or to ask a question or make a comment. Why has there been so much of this in the last few threads? Please be careful, the Plame threads which consisted of 20 threads of investigative work like this were shut down because folks started in fighting in the threads.

Well, I was doing a little research with my freebie Highbeam account on Mr. G, when I found these articles cited:

I found this info very interesting, but unfortunately it costs money to get an "upgraded account" to be able to read the entire article. If anyone has a Highbeam upgraded account, though, I'd urge you to look into it. There's some other intriguing results, too...but the Bulldog thing caught my eye.

Remember Gannon's Alumni role as the "Webmaster" for TKE frat? Well, what if he had been doing searches on the internet for "Bulldog" "Conservative" "Journalism" just to find ways to spruce up the TKE website? Do it on Google and see what you get. Gannon may have found this news site and became inspired to do something more than be a hooker and part time TKE webmaster? Maybe sign up for a $50 2-day course at The Leadership Institute...hmmm...

Just a thought...nothing solid, but amusing idea anyway...

Before I'm accused of trying to make the facts fit a theory, let me assure all that I'm just looking for what patterns are emerging from all the data we've gotten. And so far, we've got:

Gannon...Guckert...Delaware...Pennsylvania...but no photos of his early years. SO, let's look at South Dakota.

And his names...James Dale Gannon, Jeff Daniel Guckert, J. Daniels, I. Christian (got this one from propagannon)...ummm....what else? Anyone have others?

Hello, fellow citizens, snap out of it. You can bet your bippy there are reservations there.

If you are living on this Turtle Island Continent you call America, you would do well to learn about your roots; they are not in Europe or Asia or Africa anymore. They are right here beneath your feet.

It's getting late in the game. You are not visitors to Turtle Island anymore. You live here. Your ancestors are buried in the soil that covers the breast of the the Earth Mother, and the water your drink and the food you eat come (in most instances) from this land.

Without knowing at least the basics of the traditions and pathways that have made life and freedom possible here for so many millennia -- and those traditions are exceptionally stong in "South Dakota" -- then "they" will Bury your Hearts at Wounded Knee, also.

Excuse my rant. Got a button pushed.

57. Greg Stevens / Craig Spence parallel ??
KARLYN BARKER, WASHINGTON POST, JULY 24, 1990:
The alleged leader of what authorities have called the largest male prostitution operation in the Washington area surrendered to federal agents yesterday and pleaded not guilty to racketeering charges that have been filed against him and three alleged accomplices. Henry W. Vinson, 29, of Williamson, W.Va., a coal miner's son accused of setting up the homosexual escort service, was arraigned in U.S. District Court here yesterday afternoon after turning himself in to Secret Service agents . . .
. . . The Vinson case provoked additional notice after The Washington Times published reports last summer suggesting that the alleged prostitution ring had been patronized by government officials. The Times named as clients several low-level government employees and Craig J. Spence, a Washington lobbyist and party-giver who, the paper said, took friends and prostitutes on late-night tours of the White House. Spence was found dead in a Boston hotel room last fall, and authorities ruled his death a suicide . . .

Why is it that NOBODY, ABSOLUTELY NOBODY
has stepped up, tried to sell a story, or virtually admit that they knew this man when he was a teenager or a young adult? Think about his recent behavior patterns. This guy is NO WALLFLOWER! He's brazen, obnoxious and an in-your-face loudmouth. Yet, NOBODY knew this idiot when he was younger? Think back for a moment. How many of us knew guys (and girls, for that matter) like this 20 or so years ago? Don't we remember something about them because of their "need to be in the spotlight"...and their abrasive, cocky persona? Hell, I can recall of few of those jackasses firsthand! Was this guy just beamed down 20 years ago, or what? This is what troubles me. Where the hell is the history on this jerk?

He claims to be a devout Christian, correct? Where are his fellow parishioners, his pastors, etc.? Didn't he have a job to support himself throughout his late teens and twenties? However, we have no previous employers, no ex-employees, no acquaintances...no nada! I find the lack of history questionable, at best!

There is a timeline that shows we've got nothing on the guy from 1957-1975. That's 18 lost years. Why?

On edit: Found the timeline via Nashua Advocate on Daily KO'S!

I think he is, too. But for what purpose?

Some here believe he's just a GOP operative. They have some good points. And over at propagannon they've signed off on his identity, so they are pursuing him from the angle of his connections.

So....in support of your post, I dunno. All I have are questions!!!

That Nick Berg has two connections with the issue was strange enough -- West Chester was his hometown, and the last person to claim to have spoken with him before his death was Aziz Taee, who Gannon later interviewed.

But I'm interested in this information which I encountered this evening: Former US Senator David Boren , president of the University of Oklahoma (where Berg may have been possibly buying plane tickets for terrorists), had accusations of gay sexual harassment publicly mentioned about him.

http://members.aol.com/mpwright9/boren1.html

AlterNet's forum had a superb discussion on all sorts of aspects of the Berg case which never got discussed elsewhere.

115. dutroux
looks interesting

--
On August 17, 1996, the five-year cover-up of the Cools murder, and potentially a great deal more, came to a shocking end, when Belgian police raided a house in a small city in the French speaking sector of the nation, and rescued two young girls who had been kidnapped and imprisoned there by a pedophile ring for their pleasure.

The raid, which netted a large number of documents, computer disks with lists of names, resulted in the arrest of Marc Dutroux, a well-known criminal and low-level police informant.

The Dutroux arrest unraveled an international pedophile ring involving Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, the U.S., Great Britain, Japan and the United Nations and its agencies.

The names found on the computer disks reached into the highest levels of politics and society in the various countries and institutions, including some of the very members of the Belgian government who had originally been implicated in the assassination of Andre Cools.

It is the same newspaper, which 1915 printed as the only warning of the German government in the USA. Today this magazine by the way is in possession of Skull & Bones - members. Jeff Gannon, Johnny Gosch, Hunter Thompson, and Bohemian Grove snuff porn
Friday, February 25, 2005

I've been watching this story percolate since the weekend, and with Thursday's return of "Jeff Gannon" to the blogosphere with a column entitled "Fear and Loathing in the Press Room" really bringing it all full circle, several questions are begged here.

As the Jeff Gannon story progressed and turned into a Bush White House homosexual prostitution scandal, Internet investigators started asking if there could be a connection to the previous Bush White House homosexual prostitution scandal.

If you recall, the stories of 15-year-old callboys wandering through the White House in the middle of the night was linked to the "Franklin Cover-Up" case exposed by Nebraska State Sen. John DeCamp. In that case, a Republican operative named Larry King was involved with procuring boys and girls from Boys Town in Nebraska and elsewhere and entrapping them in a child sex-slave and espionage ring. King, with an annual salary of under 20K, was throwing sex parties for the powerful in a $5,000-a-month condo in Washingotn, DC; apparently taping the proceedings for blackmail purposes.

Check their online catalog but make sure you call in advance.

I'm sure other people have been there before you and there's a pretty good chance that a picture of the notorious James Guckert could have been very well razor bladed.

129. Did you guys know that Johnny Gosch's case is still open?

Martin, Gosch cases unsolved

Detective Jeff Shannon was assigned to the Eugene Martin case after original investigator James Rowley retired in 2001.

Shannon was in ninth grade when Martin, then 13, disappeared Aug. 12, 1984, as he delivered newspapers a few blocks from his south-side home

Rowley worked on about 200 homicide cases during his career and solved more than 80 percent of them. The Martin case gnawed at him even in retirement.

"Eugene is still missing," Rowley said. "We never got one legitimate lead that ever took us anywhere."

Since he inherited the case, Shannon has followed up on a couple of leads.

"They still come in, and we still take a look at them," he said.

None has proved fruitful.

The Martin case was eerily similar to the disappearance two years earlier of West Des Moines newspaper carrier Johnny Gosch, who was 12 when he was believed to have been abducted near his West Des Moines home.

No connection between the cases was established; no arrests were made.

West Des Moines Detective Tom Boyd is now assigned to the Gosch case. He was a junior in high school when the boy vanished.

This was reported 2/21/2004. Should someone contact Tom Boyd and give him the research here on DU? Or do you think Noreen's private investigator is working with this guy?

Republican media adviser found dead

By Stephanie Mansfield
THE WASHINGTON TIMES 3/4/2005

197. it's just a feeling... but I think Stevens death
has more to do with the Italian reporter held hostage in Iraq and whos car was shot at by US forces. He was heavily involved with elections around the world. we don't know yet why the US governmenet wants her dead.. but it might have something to do with Iraqs recent elections.

Now I'm wondering if anyone on these threads have read this article by Wayne Madsen regarding the "Christain Mafia"? I started reading this last night and I find myself wondering if there is any kind of connection to this child porn ring (because I think the story is much deeper than Gannon/Guckert) and the Ceders in Arlington.

Snip: The Fellowship certainly did not mind when singer Michael Jackson stayed with his children at the Cedars in October 2001 when he was in Washington for a benefit concert for the 911 victims. In a lawsuit filed in 1993, Jackson was accused of sexually molesting a 13-year-old boy. According to a September 27, 2002 Los Angeles Times article by Lisa Getter, Jackson’s stay at the Cedars was arranged through David Kuo, George W. Bush’s White House director of the Office of Faith-based Initiatives. Kuo, a former CIA employee who co-wrote a book with Ralph Reed, had been Executive Director of the Center for Effective Compassion, founded in 1995 by Arianna Huffington and Marvin Olasky. Olasky is a Jewish convert to evangelical Christianity, a major Christian reconstructionist proponent, and an ardent supporter of George W. Bush. Kuo also previously worked for the Christian Coalition and Senator John Ashcroft.

188. Names and their owners
If someone's able to tape it and provide a transcript, that would be awfully nice.

Concerning the linked posting further up thread by a Ralph Greco, claiming to have been a classmate of Guckert's, don't believe anything that you can't positively verify.

Journalism teachers say that if your mother tells you she loves you, verify it. :)

Was there a Ralph Greco who went to school with Guckert? We don't know. If he was a classmate is there a way of verifying that anyone using the name of Ralph Greco was actually that person? Often there isn't unless that person regularly posts using their real name and the information can otherwise be vouched for through some sort of triangulation.

I want to get back to the exact wording that Guckert used in his Campbell Brown interview: "I go to the gate. I show my driver's license, which I showed you. It has my given name."

Given name is usually defined as being your "first" name, sometimes called your "Christian" name, as opposed to your surname. But of course a "given" can also be a name you are...given.

clip...
"Clinton would answer any question you asked. ... He never flinched," she said.
She said she was appalled at how it was recently revealed that someone who wasn't even a real reporter (Jeff Gannon) was allowed a coveted spot in the White House press corps and called upon by the Bush administration to ask "softball" questions.
"He didn't even have a (Capital) Hill pass or represented a credible, legitimate agency, but he was let in because he was considered friendly (to the Bush) administration," quipped Thomas.
She also called it despicable that the Department of Education paid a radio talk show host $240,000 to promote Bush's No Child Left Behind Act, and leaders from Bush's marriage initiative paid a syndicated columnist $10,000 to push their views.
"That's sad and reprehensible to see an administration pay off outsiders, but at least such practices have a way of getting exposed," she said.

" The Washington Times said its assistant managing editor, Mark Tapscott, paid the agency on his company American Express card. Mr Tapscott, a former Reagan official, claimed the payments were part of a journalistic investigation. The newspaper said it knew of no such investigation. Mr Tapscott's resignation had been 'accepted' nine days ago."

People with the same last names, if not related, ALWAYS know the story and some personal history, of the people with the same or similar names, because they are always having to explain their relation to that person to upper or lower classmates.

You could probably ask for a picture, if he responds to the first inquiry, by saying, "I'm still not sure that it's you, you got an old and current picture?"

207. classmates.com
The classmates.com info was covered on DailyKos on this thread:
http://hefty-lefty.dailykos.com/story/2005/2/8/05911/68800

"Jim Guckert" did actually log in there in February

The Kos diary entries from Feb 7th say that he had a "new profile" saying

"liberal
drives sports car lives in texas married
2 kids
'right around where he wanted to be'
main source of info: newspaper
'fun loving and wild"
own house
pet peeve: telemarketers
looking to network with old friends"

The poster remarked that "he had 2 entries: one old with no profile and one flagged 'new' with the profile. iirc the new flags are only out for 2 weeks +/- at the most"

Poster Cosette remarks that as she was typing on Feb. 8 Jim Guckert was logged into classmates.com . He seems to have been back on February 12, as a look there more recently than the 8th listed that visit on their list. There is speculation that if it's the Gannon Guckert he was changing the profile to mess with people -- I don't know how well-founded that might be. Little traffic on the board, like many classmates.com boards. Alumni from the seventies don't seem to check in much at all, or post there. You can read the site if you are registered, but you have to pay to become a Gold Member to post replies or start topics. You don't have to be an alumnus of that school to post.

There is a Greco girl who was there in about 99, FWFIW. Relative of the alleged classmate Ralph?

195. RANT -- Gannongate needs a new direction: Trap Doors
I am getting really discouraged by the Gannon wrinkles thread because I feel it is focusing on the trees rather than the forest. One tree is: whether Gannon/Guckert is Gosch. A branch of that tree is whether we can track down any data about Guckert before the early 1980s. My worry is that if it turns out that G/G is not Gosch, the story as developed here on DU kind of goes away. And yet there is still a massive, Watergate sized scandal right out in the open.

Don't get me wrong. I believe that G/G/G identity has a good chance of being proved to be true. But I think that story may be believeable, but will never be credible. Here's what I mean. I believe that with the right evidence or even a positive ID by Ms. Gosch, you can convince me and many DUers that G/G is Gosch. But you will never sell this story to the mainstream press, or for that matter, even the mainstream progressive audience. "Right, the key to understanding the presence of a fake journalist in the WH press corps is that there is a MK-Ultra CIA conspiracy that kidnapped boys, turning them into Manchurain candidate prostitutes, in a ring run by S&L looters, who were engaged in sadomasochistic canabalism rites among the elites of California at Bohemian grove, which was filmed by Hunter S. Thompson, who was assassinated (not commited suicide) because he was about to blow open the whole boy-sex republican ring, just like former CIA director William Colby who ended up terminated in Chesapeake Bay, and all this rests on the testimony of recovered memory victims who also claim UFOs were involved ..." You get the idea.

Let's look at Gannongate as a series of ever murkier scandals/conspiracies and maybe even develop facts along separate lines of investigation. To me it feels like a series of scandals with trap doors. You figure out one, only to realize the scandal goes deeper into ever more bizarre lower levels -- you fall through the trap door down into the next level. The ones that are well documented, even in the MSM are evil, illegal and bizarre enough, that we don't really need to get into the really weird stuff.

So here goes my attempt at separating the different levesl.

Level 1

Guckert was asking obviously pro-republican questions as a member of the WH press corp, and was allowed in despite his having fake credentials. Indeed, he faked his name, and had "connections" to pornographic web sites. Not the kind of guy who should be allowed into the WH press corp. This is massive failure of security in the post 9/11 world's WH secret service and press office, and suggests real incompetence among people who screen WH press corp.

This is the level being addressed by the MSM.

Level 2

But wait. G/G is not just connected to pornographic web sites. He was actually a prostitute. Moreover, he was a republican operative sabotaging Dashle's re-election campaign and was being paid by the Texas GOP organization, GOPUSA, and possibly using a "press" website that was funded by the GOP in ways that violate campaign finance laws. This means that a republican party affiliated organization planted a gay prostitute/republican operative in the WH press corp. Along with the payment of Armstrong Williams and other so called journalists, this is evidence that the republicans fundamentally threaten the integrity of the free press. They also smack of gross hypocrisy and maybe even perverted gay self-hatred in using gays to run viciously anti-gay propoganda.

Level 3

But wait. If G/G was a gay prostitute, maybe he got access not just because of oversight or hypocrisy. It may be because there is a gay, even pedofile, ring of top republicans to whom he was connecte. Or worse, perhaps G/G was blackmailing or extorting someone in the WH. This is a threat to national security.

Level 4

But wait. Wasn't there already a gay sex extortion ring associated with the Bushes? Yes -- in 1989, the Moonie Times reported on a gay sex ring that included republican lobbyist/pimp Craig Spence taking gay teen prostitutes on midnight tours through the Bush I WH. Several senior bush officials were outed and fired and as Gomer Pyle would say, "Surprise, Surprise!" some of the same characters seem to be involved in the bush II gay sex mafia -- one of whom may have sold a list of gay escort clients to the Iranians. And Spence claimed that intelligence was involved and "Surprise, Surprise!" G/G is somehow connected with the outing of CIA operative Valerie Plame. And Spence ended up a "suicide" in a washington hotel.

Level 5

But wait. In Poppy's gay sex ring, another pimp, Lawrence King, was connected to a Nebraska pedofile sex and S&L looting ring. The connections with blackmail and extortion are clearer because everyone knew that pimps Spence and King filmed everything that went on in their honeypot operation.

Level 6

But wait. The Nebraska sex ring has a somewhat unreliable witness who can connect the bush I gay sex ring to a much larger network of child porn/ satanic abuse/ gay escorts that involve kidnapping, mind control that is a continuation of MK Ultra mind control, and Bohemian Grove/Skull and Bones ritualized sex orgies and S&M perversion, which in turn can place kidnapped Nebraska youth, Johnny Gosch, in the ring whose family was trashed by an editor named "Surprise, Surprise!" James Gannon, a very close pseudonym to the one used by G/G, who in turn bears a remarkable resemblance to age regressed drawings of Johnny Gosch.

As for me, I don't want to move beyond level 4. Not because I don't believe in level 5 or 6, but at this point, at least as a first introduction to the public, no one will believe it. You can hang the administration on level 3. Once that is established, you can move to lower, crazier levels after the public has gotten use to the truth of the more conventional scandal.

Maybe we should separate the threads into parallel threads.

Remember the MSM reads DU and other alternative blog media. An assistant producer at 60 minutes is going to read with interest level 4 info that can be checked back to the NY Times, but when you start bringing in satanic sex cults run by the CIA not only will she doubt what she is reading, she won't even finish reading it.

Sorry for the rant, but I'm getting upset that this scandal is slipping away because G/G may not be Johnny Gosch, and even if he is, you may never be able to prove it.

PS I did not post any sources, because they are already in this thread. This is more in the nature of a summary and request for discussion about the big picture and where to take the investigation.

I agree that most of America is not ready to believe the more outlandish scenarios, whether they be true or not.
I absolutely believe the scandals in both Bush administations are somehow connected, but haven't seen any way that it can be proven. We need our own "Deep Throat" to provide some concrete evidence. Let's hope there is someone following these developments who will finally speak out.
I also agree that MSM is following this as well, you know the folks at Countdown are reading every bit of this.

Whether Guckert/Gannon is Gosch or someone else is a non-trivial detail; in fact it is a 'forest' all on its own.

I also think folk posting (and reading) these 'wrinkles' threads have a remarkable capacity for thinking about several things at once.

But, as I indicate in the subject line, it probably is worthwhile for you to bring your 'forest' to the attention of the entire DU community and see what the responses are.

237. You suggestions make sense for a couple reasons.
First are the "gradient reasoning/understanding/accepting" reasons you so eloquently noted.

But breaking Wrinkles into several parallel threads also makes sense for those of us working on one issue or another. These threads are so huge and unwieldy--a real killer for those of us with dial-up connections.

There could certainly be some limited cross-posting of info, as applicable, but having different threads for different aspects of the investigation would focus and streamline the whole process, imo. This is a good thought, HamdenRice.

240. Thanks for all your replies -- but I don't know what to do
You all raised so many interesting points that rather than respond to each I wanted to try to collect some thoughts that address a number of your points.

I think it makes sense to start a thread that at minimum is a non-Gosch Gannongate thread. On the other hand, the problem is that there is so much cross fertilization of ideas between the levels that it might actually impede research to separate them. As bin.dare points out there are levels, but there are also circles that bind the levels together.

A second concern is sources. Basically trying to track down Guckert before 1980 is something that can be done on the web, which is why I think the G/G Gosch thread took off; although my concern is that 20 year olds don't leave many electronic records (no mortgages, liens, bills) and the absence of records about Guckert before 1980 may mean nothing.

On the other hand, trying to work on levels 4 and above require actual reporting which cannot be done on the web. I have really specific question that I can't answer by doing web and lexis searches. Like, who is Todd Blodgett and did he really compile a list of gay honeypot clients in the bush 2 administration.

Similarly I worry about internet sources. Some of the best internet sources seem to be questionable. I did not know you cannot link to Madsen. He seems to be a credible source, but he does throw in a lot of non-cited material. He also has an ax to grind, because if you get to his bio, if I understand it correctly, the guy's military career was ended because he was called as a witness in a military child porn scandal and testified as asked and was then hung out to dry. Ditto for TBRNews, which is accused of being an anti-semitic neo-nazi source connected to the Barnes Report (thanks understandinglife), but the owner says he has nothing to do with Barnes Report and is a moderate republican fed up with neo con nazi death cult end time crazies who have taken over the government. He also "data dumps" blind quotes, old newspaper reports and supposed leaks from disgruntled anonymous WH press corp defectors. I don't know what to believe.

But if we were to proceed on a non-Gosch Gannongate thread, I think the main questions are straightforward:

1. Who in the WH approved G/G's press credentials, and is there a gay relationship/blackmail relationship between them.

2. Is it true that characters from the 1989 bush I sex ring are still active in compiling lists of gay republican honeypot clients -- and the place to start is direct mail list/pimp Todd Blodgett.

3. Did G/G violate campaign finance laws in using his website to comment on Dashle's re-election while being funded by republican sources without disclosing?

4. Are any members of the bush II WH being blackmailed?

5. Why are gay closeted republicans pushing an anti-gay agenda? My sister and I were speculating earlier today that the reason the gay repug mafia is so anti gay is that if gay relationships were completely de-stymatized and gay marriage allowed, there would be no scope for blackmailing closeted gays and a big source of power of intelligence/honeypot blackmailers would just disappear over night.

Edited on Sun Mar-06-05 06:49 PM by sojourner
www.propagannon.com

They have already started compiling data over there with the intent of uncovering exactly the information you suggest here.

They have also decided that the Gosch/Guckert/Gannon link is not to be followed.

These are the dkos folks (and probably some DUers as well) who were hot on Gannon's trail from the start. They opted to carry their investigation over to a different site dedicated to getting to the bottom of the situation. They have also broken out the research into various threads so that a person can take a piece of the puzzle and work it over.

I feel that the self-censorship limits the degree to which fertilization and cross-fertilization contributes to the overall knowledge base. That's why I opt to post here...more opportunity for the community to make intuitive leaps that otherwise would not occur.

Not to say that there isn't a place for "in the box" thinking...

Anyway I thought maybe you'd like to know about their effort since its a bit along the lines you are considering.

... there were only three posts on the topic. the following is closest they have to evidence (clearly they are a little behind the times):

"Secondly, looking at the pictures for comparisons, the ears on the picture and age progression of Johnny Gosch are far too close to the head when compared to G/G, and the chin is too squared off. There is some superficial resemblence, but without plastic surgery to make his ears stick out further from his head and narrow his chin, I don't think it can be the same person... and if we're going to start throwing the possibility of plastic surgery in there, then visually comparing photos is pretty pointless. There would need to be some serious computer analysis done to see if the changes observed are possible."

258. I have always how anyone can tell that Johnny's ears don't stick
out like bulldog's. I mean, the photo we have of him is with a full head of hair that covers his ears. Thanks for the info on the site. I don't mind wearing my :tinfoilhat: or being seen wearing it, to quote the sweet potato, I yam what I yam! ;-)

263. Don't all have the same "visuo-spatial" abilities
Some people have less ability to mentally manipulate "visual cues" than others. (According to Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences).

Also, since their minds are made up, they don't bother to listen when you explain about the photo being photoshopped and age-progressed, etc.

266. She is wrong
Though I doubt Gosch=Guckert, I try to keep a (skeptical) open mind, and support those who continue to research it.

But she is WRONG in discounting Gannon/Gosch based on the ears. The only legitimate photo of Johnny Gosch has his hair covering his ears. The photo she must be referring to is the computer-age-enhanced photo with exposed ears. Those are no one's ears. They were made up... as just a guess by the computer artist.

253. No hard evidence; just too tinfoil hat for them...........
The site owners feel strongly that it's a waste of time. The logic goes like this:

1) Too tinfoil hat....
2) If the investigation turns up zip, then the fact that we looked at it could be used to discredit whole effort.
3) Why would someone be "hiding in plain sight" (I borrowed those words from Jim/Jeff :) ) -- just too risky in their opinion.
4) They don't agree that the photos have a strong resemblence. (I strongly disagree!!)

And the search was likely based on what Gannon/Guckert stated as his dob. Then they found possible family members data, same way.

I posted it above in #110 --------

The ancestory sites are not 100% accurate. My mother's birth year is wrong as is my fathers place of birth.

edited to add: when using search sites like the ancestry sites, be sure to check for knowns, like a scientist using a controlled sample. If you are a member of those groups (have paid the subscription cost), the best thing to use are the census indexes, but they are limited as to their availability and again, human error may result in dates being typed incorrectly.

259. I meant to add that I dislike having the direction of investigation
directed by the process of self-censorship. You can't know what's there til you look at what's there. Likewise, you can't validly say something ISN'T so just by deciding it isn't so.

Reminds me of Galileo's telescope. When other "scientists" doubted his discoveries, he offered to let them look through the telescope to see for themselves. They declined. Had their minds made up about what was "possible". They were wrong.

264. The power of forums like 'wrinkles' is in how many different perspectives.
....and sources of information are enabled to intersect. And, as long as folk are respectful in their critique, and rigorous in their due diligence, more are attracted -- as is evidenced by how many have contributed to the 9 threads.

Let's just keep seeking the truth, encourage whatever thoughts anyone might have, urge rigor when claims are made (like posting reference material, links, etc), and, self-police (as we have with any attempt to equate homosexuality with pedophilia or any other type of criminal activity).

Peace.

Are these websites he created or bought the domain rights to?

Do you think he has assumed another alias "I. Christian"?

I do appreciate all of your contributions and am glad you find this as interesting as I do.

brought on board to replace J. Daniels. That's another reason I mentioned paying attention to his use of words. He likes to be coy.
I. Christian ---

Look at the title of his new article - Fear and Loathing in the Press Room. (Shades of HST!!!)

And what I posted above. The strange links on his aol site; one of which really caught my eye.

My guys. Link to TKE fraternity. -- innocuous, and perhaps exactly what he meant to do. But then there's the pun that lies behind the link...my guise?? Brrr.....

Hm. now, that's interesting. wasn't aware first amendment rights were a religious matter per se... and even if it could be construed to be a religious matter, what are the conditions for an organization to be a religious nonprofit? Odd...

thanks for this info; it gives me a direction...

He is going to be speaking with another right-wing whacko talk show host. I'm sure it'll be all about ridiculing the "liberal bloggers" and how the "lefties" are out to destroy him because he's a conservative.

I hope someone listens and reports to us, but Eeeeewwww, I aint got the stomach for it.

Last evening I received a call from Ted Gunderson who
is presently in Nebraska to interview a central figure
in the Franklin Coverup case that is at the root of
this "Jeff Gannon" story.A confidential source of
Teds' has-in a conversation with Ted yesterday
afternoon-given a 100% confirmation that Jeff
Gannon/Jim Guckert is very definitely Johnny Gosch.Ted
has the full backing and authority of the mother of
Johnny,Noreen Gosch,to handle this as only Ted would
know how, along with the complete assistance of John
DeCamp.Ted and John DeCamp are the investigators and
exposers of the Franklin Coverup.Ted has given me the
greenlight to write and post this much so far but for
very obvious reasons,I cannot go into greater detail
at this time, though I do know more than what I can add
to this at this time.As I have been told, more
information will soon be forthcoming with the
authorization to post when I receive it.
