Author Bio: Dr. Helen Caldicott is founder and president of the Nuclear Policy Research Institute (www.nuclearpolicy.org). The organization she co-founded in 1978, Physicians for Social Responsibility, was co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1985, and a documentary based on a lecture she gave in 1981, on the topic of nuclear war, won the Academy Award for Best Documentary (short) in 1982. She is just taking apart her first hostile caller (who was quite articulate, I might add). All the facts in order, quick and not overly emotional - just enough to convey the outrage...

A caller just said he recognized the articulate hostile caller's voice as someone who works for Dick Cheney!

Also described the R talk show propaganda squad that keeps the admin's spin alive on call in shows.

hours. I couldn't tear myself away. After it was over, I went to Amazon and ordered her book. She was so great. She also bombarded those freepers with facts. They looked like uninformed fools. I liked the way she called the media out on their propaganda. Great show.

I only turned in toward the last 30 minutes of the show but I've read her article and find her so passionate and intelligent.

When one of the callers talked about the fact that she was a Pantheist (and did so in a derogatory fashion), I was so happy to see that the biting of her finger was enough to stop her from reacting and, instead, answering quite cogently. Much more than I can do.

she explained PNAC and who the authors were: Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rummy, etc.

She also said that our Congress was owned by the multinational corporations.
