Sure fucking ass fire way to win back Congress
This is childs play. Why didn't I see this long ago? Here's what we dems campaign on:

- Put homosexuals in camps surrounded by barbed wire and German Shepards patrolling the perimeter.

- Clear cut virgin forests, drill anywhere anytime for oil.

- Bomb innocent countries before they acquire flintlocks.

- No security nets anywhere. Empty all the injured and sick unto the streets of Canada.

- No reading of Science in Schools.

- Lie early and often.

We'll never lose another election!

2. If we are being deported to Canada allow me to start coughing.
I'll bring up a lung for a chance like that.

I can't imagine what national pride would feel like again.

3. The key is to agree to cut taxes, or eliminate taxes.
Most people don't vote for the social republican agenda - they like the fact that the Repubs promise to cut their taxes and put more money in their pocket. Greed trumps alot of issues

4. Maybe our Democrats need to campaign on the fact that
good paying jobs are being lost at an alarming rate. Maybe paying taxes won't seem so bad then. I also have spoken to a number of rather naive young people, who vote Republican because of the tax issue, who said they wouldn't mind paying taxes if they got something back for it like health care, decent housing and other quality of life issues.

I was thinking of something novel like speaking the truth.

10. Some of us want to win elections ...
....and maintain our principles and then effect change. If you want to do that in another order, feel free. Just don't expect to have a lot of followers.

11. I see nothing
at odds with maintaining principles with the poster's suggested commercial.

It's called playing hardball. Something we better start doing yesterday.

14. Yes, they are obviously being satrical! THAT's the point!
Sheesh. They are mocking people that would NOT maintain their principles and play "hardball" instead.

16. Yes, that is the point
you would have a problem with a commercial that has images of all the things the poster mentions:

- homosexuals in camps surrounded by barbed wire and German Shepards patrolling the perimeter.

- Clear cut virgin forests

- Bombing of innocent countries

- No security nets anywhere. All the injured and sick flocking into the streets of Canada.

- No reading of Science in Schools. Teachers getting suspended for doing so.

And then a tag line: Vote Republican if this is the kind of country you seek.

I wouldn't have a problem with it at all.

19. Nice add of the tagline, which was not included in the original OP
The OP stated: "Here's what we dems campaign on:"

You see...that's how satire works.

What you are proposing is the exact opposite of what the OP proposed. And since you are now going to ask me would it be ok with the tagline...no, I wouldn't.
