He wouldn't want to hear this:
HONOLULU - Roni Aurelio still waits for her only son to call home, knowing he never will.
Cpl. Stephen P. Johnson, 24, of Covina, Calif., was one of the 28 Hawaii-based servicemen honored at a memorial service at the state Capitol on Monday. All but one was killed in a single helicopter crash.
"He was my best friend, my son, my comrade," an emotional Aurelio said, clutching her son's dogtags in one hand, his framed photo in the other. "He was everything to me.
"Every single day I keep looking at the phone, waiting for him to say, 'Mom, I'm coming home,'" she said. "He hasn't done that yet."

or this:
Dinara Ragimov, of San Diego, had harsh words for President Bush and the war. But she said she was proud of her 20-year-old son, Lance Cpl. Mourad Ragimov, whom she described as "very brave and fragile."
"I hate (the war) with all my guts, all my mind," she said.
