talk to your kids, tell them it is an immoral war and they shouldn't go. Hide them in an attic. Build an attic if you have to. If you are young and they want you, say "Fuck no!" and go to jail instead. The ones who refuse to fight immoral wars are the real heros. The rest are collateral damage.

Just breaks my heart. Enlisties are primarily (not completely, but mostly) kids who couldn't afford to go to college, and thought that serving their country and learning the value of hardwork would help make them stronger people. It kills me to think how little our government really cares about them, how little they get paid, and how each death is just another statistical headache to this administration.

Enlisties deserve a better salary, protected rights against the back-door draft, and most importantly, a President who will value and respect them.
