1. oh, Al Sharpton...he is such a breath of fresh air!
"..There would have been no Colin Powell if first there had been no Adam Clayton Powell. There would have been no Condoleeza Rice, if it weren't for those girls in Alabama. Bush picked the fruit off the trees we planted. Bush didn't plant those trees..." Al Sharpton on BLACK LEADERS from the Black Leaders Clip.

2. I remember when Rev Al was
forced to view in a different light by the media. Having left the NY area in '90 I missed his rise so it is refreshing, in recent years, to see how far he has come as a leader. Thanks for the post.

3. I wish people would Rev. Al more seriously!
At all of the debates I saw last year, no one moved the audience like Rev. Al. None of the other candidates grabbed my attention like Rev. Al. But, everytime there was a recap of how the debates went the only thing that was said about Al Sharpton was, he received the loudest responses. The media would constantly push Howard Dean, John Edwards, and John Kerry, when in my eyes, Al Sharpton was saying things that would make me take notice. I just wish he would have been pushed a little better. I know he probably didn't have the money some of the other candidates had, I just wish the media would have researched some of the issues Rev. Al addressed.

That is just how I feel.

4. Al is just viewed as being entertaining.
Everyone knows that what he is saying is very profound, however they had already made up their mind... that of course he can never be president, so he was never taken seriously
