It looks as though Bob Schaeffer is the CBS News Anchor....
..taking Dan Rather's position. I'm not at all happy with that assignment by CBS, especially after Schaeffer's softball questions in the presidential debate #2 where he asked a who series of bullshit questions that let Shrub comment on how the 1st lady having a place in his heart.

Then at the end of the show, Schaeffer gives his pledge to the CBS viewers that he will never betray their trust in him as always being fair. Sorry, that doesn't cut it for me, I want the truth!

1. he is also the one who asked the questions about abortion and gays
within a right wing context.

it was supposed to be a debate on economic issues and he asked almost nothing on that.

3. You mean you don't know?
Bob's brother was involved with the baseball team Bush was in on, where they became pals. :eyes:

9. And when bush* set up his squatter's position in the Oval Office, he
appointed Bob's brother as the US Ambassador to Australia. Gee, anybody smell anything rank?

4. That "pledge" was a slap in the face to Dan Rather.
Schieffer is just as smarmy as CNN and Faux "journalists." I will go to ABC or NBC. Either is better than Schieffer.

5. It's temporary
Schieffer is just filling in until they find a permanent anchor.

10. I watched ABC and NBC news exclusively for the first time ....
...in years on Friday evening. Bob Schaeffer is way too slanted to BushCo for my taste. Just watch CBS News ratings among the three networks slip to single digits real fast!

11. The NYT had an article about a month or so ago
about Schieffer's brother who is a BIG TIME Bush supporter. The article was about the relationship between the two brothers, now that Schieffer has been pegged to take Dan Rather's place. It was like we should all assume that just because Schieffer is on the news he would be opposed to Bush's positions.

BULL, don't these people read their own paper and watch what passes as news in this country?
