'Reforms' by two Bushes add up to Repubaloney
The article in the Business section outlining the failed "reforms" of health insurance in Florida should not surprise anyone ("State health insurance reforms fail to yield cure," Sunday). Any time a Republican administration expresses concern for the needs of individual citizens or families, it becomes just more "Repubaloney." Repubaloney is the use of propaganda to pretend that the administration has concern for the average citizen when in fact it does not.
The drug "benefit" for senior citizens is a thinly disguised payoff to the pharmaceutical industry as well as a beginning in the attempt to force all seniors into managed care and thus begin the decline of Medicare. The "reform" of Social Security is more of the same. "Privatization" is simply a stealth attack on the entire system.
Social Security and Medicare long have been targeted for destruction by the Republican Party. The present administrations in Florida and Washington are composed of Repubalonians who will stop at nothing to achieve that end.
